Is anyone else here following Shippuden? (Dont kill me)

Now they're all adults it seems like all the personalities are the same, I find it worse then fan fiction with characters just doing things they completely wouldn't. There's no complex relationships, Sasuke's personality is pretty random in the manga - it's just wrong.

I finally managed to get through all the Naruto filler episodes and watch the final 3 relevant episodes.

The begining of shippuden was the future in relative terms to the next 11 episodes i presume? I was a bit taken aback when sasuke entered his mind and destroyed Kyuubi by touching him.

I really do hope the outcome of this arc is Sasuke getting an overwhelming punch in the face.

I think Adults is strectching it. I'm pretty sure they were 12 at the beginning of the original series, and Shippuden is about 2 1/2 years after episode 1 (the pre-filler arcs of series 1 covered only a few days per arc).

In shippuden they are 15.

Which is about right then. "grown up and mature" but not really adults

I tried playing the western version of the first naruto game yesterday, I turned it off when I heard how shit Kakashi sounded  I'll go back to the japanese copy I can't understand a word of methinks

The exact number of volumes planned is not known; however, the aim of the series is to adapt the entire manga (likely including Hellsing: The Dawn)

Hopefully it'll happen before this...

(Preview of 4th movie)

In other news, Viz is really amping up support for the Naruto manga in a big way for the U.S.

The big push begins in September.

That's great news! Now, if only they'd do that for One Piece... Hopefully the pirate craze will pick up again once Pirates of The Carribean hits this summer. I hope the licensers of the uncut One Piece manage to get it out on time to get in on the piracy fun.

But then they'd be subjecting more people to that woeful dub :-/

Can anyone explain the end of Big O to me?

It just doesnt make sense. Theres a huge build up with memories, the Domineuce and something happening 40 years ago. Theres even a flashback where Roger is a pilot 40 years ago of Big O. Then it just sort of goes....all Matrix. None of its real, its a dream or something. Then to make it even crazier you actually see Roger Smith popup again at the end. Yet he doesnt exist. I just dont get it

Uncut OP Dvds will hit sometime between Nov '07- Feb '08. Guess that ship has sailed.

One Piece changed hands recently, hopefully we'll have a decent dub soon then.
It's Funimation. Uncut OP'll beat the edited dubbed stuff hands down.

Wow, this spring's season is going really well this year. Particularly around the 4th episode mark: Gurren Lagan got slammed with the change in art style, Kiss Dum is being mocked for having a recap episode on only the 4th episode and now, Lucky Star gets a new directpr after it's fourth episode.: Link.

Hmm, that's weird news about Lucky Star! I didn't think the current director was doing a bad job, but at least it's in the hands of a veteran now. Still, the old director directed probably the best episode of Haruhi, the cultural festival episode, so it's not like he doesn't have talent...

It's not just being mocked for having a recap on the 4th episode, after all I'm sure there are other similar cases. It's mainly because of the unfinished animation etc... ep3 contains quite a few scenes that seem unfinished and which are later touched up and reshown in ep 4 as the complete products they should have been previously. It's quite bad when you have to do that only a week after the original episode has aired, not to mention that recaps usually recycle footage so the effort spent on them is minimal but that's not the case here.

Yeah I was reading about it on neogaf but I didn't mention the entire thing because it ruin my "4th episodes are doomed" spiel. Sounds like the entire production is running into serious problems at the start from what I read though. With luck they might be able to pull something of the series back together.
