I have to admit the fandom side of it is REALLY beginning to bore me now, its either hyper active kids who dine on nothing but suger and Yaoi or grumpy old fucks who moan when you don't pose for their picture.

For every half-decent, well-balanced person in attendance, there's an ungodly number of shitbags who haven't the first clue how to conduct themselves in a setting outside of MSN. That ranges from incredibly bizarre and childish behaviour to people who just outright stink of shit.

Can't wait! :(

Ayacon was really well run but I think the committee has disbanded now so Amecon is the main one now, Minami is far too OMGIMADEALLMYOWNCOSTUMESYOUEBAYBASTARD for me plus its in a fucking stupid place miles away from anywhere.

I don't think I will be attending many more after this year, Im getting too old and grumpy! And half the appeal was to go see anime you were just hearing about, but with access to torrents and such being alot easier and the official releases at cons that appeal has died too.

Sounds like it's gotten even worse then. I quit while I was ahead. I had a great time at Aya but that came during a lot of infighting and bitching so it went downhill pretty fast after.

Well, I finished watching Kemonozume. Gets so blewdy surreal towards the end! Episodes 7 and 11 looked really poor in comparison to the rest I though, looked like a different artist in charge of the animation there. Regardless, I enjoyed it for the most part, I'll have to watch it again soon.

I used to organise the all nighters at a number of cons, it got to the point where the merest sight of something female would reduce the audience to baying/snorting imbeciles. i never went to a con again after that.

and anime con goers fucking REEK. they should enforce showers and deodorant use.

Hooray! Someone else watching Code Geass. Is that episode 22? Not watched that yet. Looking forward to it after what happened at the end of 21. :)

I watched upto the episode where Villetta got injured or whatever. Is it worth downloading the rest of the episodes?

Wow. Episode 22 of code geass makes up for EVERYTHING. All the previous cheesiness in the series is forgiven just by that one episode. Did not expect any of that.

I expect a clash of Geass orders next episode between Suzaku and Euphemia, which will make me all sad because I really like it when people are happy together. ;)

Makes a bit more interesting than the pair of them staring at each other lovingly each other and going "We'll save the world with LOVE!".

On the up side, it's getting a second series and was voted top anime series of last year in japan along with haruhi.

Wait, are you the sephy I used to know from anime europe? Who used to sell plushies to everyone. I take it you couldn't be arsed after that whole anime england garbage started? I couldn't be either, having someone tell you to take sides, forget it!

I totally agree with you about the state of anime fandom at the moment. Thankfully there are still people around my age that are still alot of fun to talk to at the cons, people who don't just shout and squeal about everything and actually have some intelligence to aviod the clichés of talking to people in real life the same way they would in IRC. ("He made me roflcopter")

Urgh! Ok, that's my rant over with for now.

Anyway, those few people who are still sane make the experience still worthwhile. That's why you should stick with the cons Carly! ... Forget 95% of the forums though!

I just watched Ouran High School Host Club last week, that was pretty good, thanks to everyone who recommended that. Camp as hell, but really fun.

And then I'm going to try and get the rest of Azumanga Daioh...

That was part of it yes but it was reflective of the way things were going anyway. I've got better things to do then put up with all that shit. I've not looked back, so I made the right decision.

I do miss my mini business though. I made a killing at Aya (I made about £200 profit on £150 of goods iirc)

Aqquired a batch of (unfortunately nonsubbed) promotional videos and commercials of some of the new anime series and there's some splendid looking stuff most noticabley Darker than Black and Terra e. Roll on April 4th.

Also got round to finishing the xxxHOLiC series. Really good I thought. The voice actors in particular where all well chosen and well, the animation is typical clamp goodness. :o

Edit: Just watched death note 24. They've finally got back to the good stuff.

Hooray! Evil light is back. Finally we get back to the decent chess game series where each is thinking 9 steps ahead of the game. Ryuzaki's face is priceless since *he* knows light is kira. Just fantastic stuff

I've been catching up on Death note the last couple of days (I stopped when Toriyama's World stopped subbing it to wait for a regular group to do it again), and I find it really weird to watch now. Whenever I hear Light speak, I just think of him as Tamaki from Ouran or Riku from Tokimeki Memorial and now I think of Misa as Haruhi Suzumiya. Not that I should complain, they both do an ace job!

Death Note Spoilers:

I love how as soon as Light turns good they draw him with larger eyes and a rounder nose/chin.
