It's so not! Mind you, I was skipping through a lot of it on 10 second bursts since, y'know, I didn't want to watch something that looked like a chick series all the way through so that might have had something to do with it. ^_^

If I'm honest, I guess it wasn't that the series was terrible, just that the ending was a bit crap.

I like my happy endings dammit!

George freaked me out though.

Edit: Just realised how that first sentence loses it's effect when I remember I was nearly blubbering near the end of Eureka Seven.

Hey, George is a sexy beast!

The ending suited it really well, there was no way Caroline/Yukari and George could have stayed happy when they both had to venture off in seperate ways, so to call it a day when they did was needed. I don't think they would have been happy anyway!

The manga shows you who she eventually marries...

He just looks rather freaky. Mind you, in a show with a midget with bright pink hair and giant lips, I guess he fits in.

I must have missed the explanation as to why it didn't work during one of my "bloody hell, they're being overly emotional, lets skip ahead" moments hence why I didn't get the ending. ^_^

Oh and Bibly, I know you're there. Stop lurking and contribute!

You should do that (I hope you have by now)!

That's right, it's a bit unfortunate, but we can all hope for a second season! (The ending to the anime was rather...abrupt and left some things unanswered).

yeah i finished of the first dvd before bed and watched some making of feature on the disc.

Fave episode so far probably is the one where her two friends come round and the guys keep transforming all the time.

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni then. I haven't been terrified by an anme series for ages. I do have a tendency to be scared shitless of psychotic acting females though.

The start of episode 5 for example is brutal.

F**king Hell that's disturbing, and I only watched eighteen seconds :D:(:D .

It gets worse than that. There's some proper disturbingly terrifying scenes in there but please stick with it. It's the most interesting series I've seen in ages. The great balance between humour and fear is brilliant in it. It wasn't until I finished that I actually appreciated all they did with it. :(

Plus there's a second series this year! Woo!

Only spotted this now :(. I never got round to watching Paradise Kiss, so I thought I'd just watch its proponents/opponents verbally spar.

I don't like horror as a genre much [/wimpy] :( . Elfen Lied was bad enough, but that looked even worse ;). Maybe if there's nothing nice and cute/funny/action orientated for me to watch I might sample it.

I know what you mean but I managed it! Granted it took me 3 months in the end to actually get past the scary bit I was stuck on but hey, I got there eventually!

There is funny/cute bits in it though, it's just they'll suddenly come out with lines like "Oh by the way [Central Plotline Character], I have a very large machete and I'm going to gut you alive! MuAHAaHAHaHAHAHAaa!11" or some such.

If you can make it past the first story arc in it(the first 4 episodes) you'll be fine. ^_^

Maybe.

Exactly. Did you watch more than 18 seconds? 'cos I sure as Hell didn't.

Your words fill me... what's the term I'm looking for?... Trepidation... yeah that'll do... trepidation and FEAR ;) .

Watched a good 7-8 episodes of elfen lied tonight with my flatmate. Really good! Its becoming one of my favorite anime series actually B) It does remind me a bit of 3x3 eyes too..

Bunch of wimps ^_^

It's a really good series, just watch it. How does it take you 3 months to watch it?! It's not scary, it's only an animation.

Come on, what's the worst that could happen? I mean aside from psychological scarring for the rest of your natural life. Obviously.

:(

Meanie :(.

Both for Fruits Basket and Elfen Lied. The former was a good series, and apparently a great manga, should be good if you have the time. And as for Elfen Lied, good that you enjoy it, something most anime fans should sample :( .

"only an animation" eh? Do you feel no emotions whilst watching things because they're animated?

I just watched the final 3 episodes of the first Naurto Series. I've downloaded the first 4 eps of Shippuden, although I'm undecided about watching it "as it goes". While i like watching shows in bulk, it just takes so long to catch up. It's going to take me 15 hours to catch up on Bleach for example.

I didn't get past 18 seconds. For one, I didn't know what the hell was going on. Secondly, it was brutal. I didn't fancy any more after that.

What I can say, though, is ParaKiss is awesome.

ParaKiss you mean Paradise kiss?

Havent read or seen it but im a huge fan of NANA which is by the same author Ai Yazawa. Desparate to see the live movie which by looking at the trailer is utterly brillant like the manga (and read the rest...only 5 volumes in english atm!). Anime is good too so I hear.

If you like the fruits basket anime and want to know more, I urge you to read the manga, its..soo good :(

Nope. I'm easily influenced so watching any more than those 18 seconds could have deadly repercussions.

So... I take it by the avatar that you watched all of Azumanga... who wielded the most influence over you then?

Actually I spent small portions of today following 'eye bubbles' (at least I think they were eye bubbles, small circles which seemed to exist only in my eye :( ) 'cos I remember Osaka doing it and wondered what it'd be like :( ...

...it was just as fun as she made out (the glorious weather may've helped somewhat).

I was over exaggerating slightly saying that I'm easily influenced. I do latch on to things as I drift round the net though. For instance, I've started listening to Eurobeat after finding a link to some Initial D MP3s on Galbadia Hotel. I've only got the live action movie and I don't remember any Eurobeat in that, so I guess it's only in the anime.

But back on topic, I actually do have floaters in my eyes so I do tend to "lock-on" to them once in a while. It's a real pain coz I can be talking to someone and suddenly start looking away if one catches my eye. I'm sure they think I'm not paying attention!

Anyway, Osaka FTW! :(
