Oh shut up moany face.

:(

I really fancy a change from the norm, can someone suggest me something?

I normally watch comedy/romance stuff, I would like to give something else a try.

Suggestions please!

If you're really after something different, I would suggest Kite. It makes for intriguing and ultimately quite unpleasant viewing, but I rather liked it and it's not like anything I've seen before or since. Some downright excellent action sequences, but on the whole rather grim. Spoiler: Contains hentai.

For more straight laced suggestions, try Kino's Travels (Kino no Tabi), Monster, or Haibane Renmei - none of which are romance, comedy, or hentai. :(

Much to meh's relief, I finally finsihed twelve kingdoms. I can definitely see why he rates it so highly now. Seems a bit...incomplete though really. I mean they have that story of the taiho that's disappeared and then they kind of leave it hanging with no real ending. It's good though, once all the characters stopped being all whiny () it turned out to be a really enjoyable series.

Now where's that Full metal panic series gone...

...My biggest gripe is how they fiddled the story, just moving things around slightly, for no appreciable reason...

This happens a fair bit with Shonen Jump manga to anime translations. Mixing it up keeps it fresh. Especially if you've read the manga.

It's ok, she likes hentai.

He is right, I like a bit of the old anime boffingness.

I have Kite, its ok, the sex scenes are a bit off putting when you find out the history behind the two characters but its not a bad watch.

And Urotsukidoji made me piss myself laughing.

Need suggestions!

They didn't have enough of the story to go on to keep making it, apparently. Not sure if the author's made any more books of it yet.

At least they didn't go the Full Metal Alchemist route and completely fuck it up.

This is true. It'd be nice if they continued it since I think there's a lot more story left untouched. I mean, when they were explaining about the various lands and kirin and emperors, there seemed to be a lot happening that was begging for more to be told about it.

Typical. Just when the series starts getting interesting, it ends.

You never know, they may get round to finishing it one day. I'm just glad I've watched one of the most wonderful shows every created.

Plus, you could learn the language and read the books.

Or maybe even buy the translated versions when ever they come out. I recall the first novel was being brought over to the US some time ago, maybe March? Who knows when they'll have the rest of them out but at least it's a start.
