Well, after 2 weeks of finding little it's business as usual.

Atari 2600, 60 games, £30

Game Gear, Case, 12 games, £5

504 DSL router £2

First issue of the face magazine - 50p..

Ps2 Beyond Good and Evil £5

Not a bad week - not as good as my "grand slam of current consoles"* week but still ok.

And now to hit the fields this afternoon..

*£80 brand new Xbox, £30 nearly new Pal Game Cube, £40 boxed working UK ps2 all in 10 mins at my local car boot a few weeks ago

First one in my area(ish) started today so I dragged myself along to it. Not many cars so results were limited...

Mario Kart 64 - £3

Time Crisis + Gun box set - £8

Dark Cloud PS2 - £5

Risk PS1 - £4

5 GB Games - £10

Bit rubbish really. LOADS of people fighting over very few items.

Not me I'm afraid :) Had a poor day as detailed above due to smaller boots, being skint and not really being bothered!!! I'll get up to speed again soon when my favorites open up. Roll on easter.

There's a dead ringer for you walkiing around our local one ;-)

I have no doubt we'll run into each other on a Saturday over/after easter...

Hehe I think RichM is just ashamed he was spotted with a Dragon 32 :P it was boxed though, which isn't so bad :D

I am still crying over those pikeys that got to my SNES first :( It had my name written all over it :( I was in shock and was walking around in a daze for about 30 minutes afterwards....

Regards

See if it was Megadrive Gear you could use the infamous Daily mail headline "The Sega sickener" as it is "The nintendo non event" will have to suffice.

Curiously apt as well don't you agree?

gahhh, i need to get out to these things. my GF can never drag herself out of bed before 10am on a Sunday, and I've no car. anyone in the general vicinity of Milton Keynes fancy lending me a hand? I'd go halves on petrol, obviously :P

You can sometimes find indoor boot sale/table top sales, keep them in mind, as they can be little gold mines. Maybe they would be within walking distance? Usually they are in the afternoon, in the villages.

As with last year on this forum, I doubt anyone will be offering rides and disclosing the details of where they go.

Having said that, where I go in the morning, and the late afternoon are very friendly you can walk around in groups and its all very pleasant. The other 2 that are opening soon are a nightmare, you have to be ready to dive into boxes of tat and do some seriously dealing...

Regards

I'd recommend afternoon sales if I was you, the GF can get up when she likes and you get to go booting.

You're all bastards.

I'll probably end up going all summer just for an old copy of Sonic and a serious case of trenchfoot...

Oh well, they should all be starting up this weekend....hurrah

Yeah, that thought crossed my mind as well...

From memory last year (going maybe 20 weeks or so!)

I got:

Paperboy and Banjo Kazooie for 8 quid

The yellowest SNES you've ever seen with power adapter (and nothing else) for £2 (worked though, nice spare I suppose)

think thats about it really.

On a trip to 2 seperate trips to London, I done 2 boots, come back with

1st trip:

Megadrive, 7 or so games, 2 pads, no 6 games boxed and manuals (sonic not...)

5 quid

Sonic and Knuckles £3

and on the second:

Mario 2 & 3 NES, box no manual - 3 quid each

Excitebike £2

(and apperently they had a bunch of other games they sold on the saturday for 3 quid each, boxed with manuals - "2 were the shiny gold cartriges"

So some bugger beat me to (presumably) Zelda 1 & 2 for 6 quid!

A fully boxed MINT (I cant stress how mint) NES, with boxed zapper and a couple of games for a tenner

I actually found a NEW NES last year. It had been de-boxed, but the controllers and psu were still wrapped up, the cable had never had a plug on it and the whole thing still had the new sheen to it. It's been boxed up now in a MINT box and is safely tucked away.
