Very good fucking question, admittedly I am their "shit shield" but I am getting a bit tired of not being able to say who these guys are (and they are more than aware of this).

So why bother? If they're not prepared to back you up and give some credibility to your argument, what's the point? Why bang the drum on their behalf when they clearly can't be arsed to do it themselves?

I've no idea if the individuals you're alluding to exist, but if they do they're doing you no favours at all. For you to come on here and effectively say "I'm matey with some lofty games industry types who really don't like Edge... but I can't tell you who they are." sounds horribly desperate. Surely you can acknowledge this?

GamesTM is a very good read I find, possibly being more welcoming to younger readers then Edge but you know the writers have the same level of games knowledge. Online, I basically browse here & NTSC-UK, and the sites I read are anything that are linked to within those sites, otherwise my monthly read of the 2 forums, Edge & GamesTM are more then enough gaming news for me. Oh yeah, I do actually read every single format magazine cover to cover too. And CVG. But I do that out of boredom, not because I want to. And I need to learn paragraphs, yes. And Onion has a baby-dick. However, if I had to pay for the magazines I would not have read a games mag for years now, and probably never would.

Games TM is, without a doubt, the most patronising mag since Official "This challenge is Just for Fun!" Xbox Magazine, and their reviews are utterly useless
