"Yeah, kids...look into your TV screen and say his name 5 times and he'll burst out and bore you to death about how Transformers: Armada is rubbish for only offering 25,000 possible mech customisations compared with Armour God MechA HellBattle X 9's 392,179 wildly different and completely essential variations."

Allo you friendly peeps!

To clarify, I don't have a database of factual innacuracies in EDGE nor have I ever personally undertaken work on one. There is a database, however, but that has been compiled by a triumvirate of rather lofty industry types who are quite happy to use me as a shit shield against the moronic EDGE fanboy smacktards.

As for Transformers Armada, it's pretty average really. Admittedly the Winkysoft attempt was woefully underpar and at least the Armada incarnation will do a better job of covering the Transformers legacy (to those that care) but as a game it's rather "meh".

Armored Core Nexus on the other hand is fucking superb!

FAO The-Pope-Smokes-Dope!: Did I ever meet you in Hull?

NTSC-UK is run and browsed by a bunch of suicidal fan boy wankers. TRUFAX!

Interesting you should say that, because I'm about to suicide you all the way to next week, you biased freak.

When...er, I figure out how to suicide someone.

'lofty industry types' WITH A HIDDEN AGENDA!

or not.

well, that's a bit of a turnaround from what you said before, to be honest, like, when you said you were doing it personally with some of your friends. Why would you bother mentioning it at all in that context if you're being used as a 'shit shield'? are you now some martyr for some righteous cause?

My initial thing on this was intentionally ambiguous, for now obvious reasons. I am not really fussed about any kind of infamy over this and whist I am eager to watch EDGE drown in its own bullshit I am not going out of my way help to aid these chaps on this (I also find the "righteous cause" thing funny, because it's sooooooo uncool to actually give a shit about anything...no really).

jesus christ, i don't even know you but that is the poorest, most meaningless response to criticism i have ever heard. ambiguous for obvious reasons? like the fact that clearly setting out your intentions, your motivations and how you intend to achieve them will make you sound like the most pathetic geek on here? here! you sound like a politican, albeit one without any power, influence or even noble cause. in fact any cause what so ever that reaches beyond trying to make a games magazine look slightly silly.

edge is better than you.

I used to think that Cacophanus was simply the yin to the Edge fanboys' yang. Both as bad as one another. Now, however, the fanboys are less rabid, while Cacky holds firm.

Cacophanus, you must learn that now the other extreme element is coming closer to appreciation and away from sycophancy it is time for you too to calm down.

What a load of tripe. I doubt you know any 'lofty industry types' . And why would these people compile a database of every time Edge got some detail about mecky games wrong? You are the only person on the planet who gives a shit about that stuff.

Hee! Hee! He's probably frothing at the mouth at mecky.

But back on topic, I do like NTSC-UK. They're a good bunch of people and I admit to finding most of the stuff on the site pretty useful and informative. And also, having played on Live with a few of them I happen to think they're ok as people too.

Nicely put. And no personal attacks involved.

Another vote for NTSC-uk.

I don't really use the web for game journalism and I tend to get opinions of games from here or NTSC-uk and if I cannot find a game I either metacritic.com it or gamerankings.com it to find a general consensus from sites I do not normally visit.

If this is the general attitude and opinion towards our site here then please can someone let me know.

They don't like anyone who isn't Edge here, places like Eurogamer and GamesTM are constantly slagged off as well, usually by the type of people who follow the Edge boys around like lost sheep.

I like Gamespot. Although American, it doesn't use too many colloquialisms, makes sure to tell you all the bad points about the game as well as the good and has nice early concise news. And it's free (unless you want to pay £10 a year for the well written, well produced video reviews)

Not at all, i'd imagine. It's just people, both here, there and everywhere. people who taking gaming far too seriously for their own good. They're fun and clearly the people who post on forums like games more than your average person, but personally, I see there being a line crossed, at which point it turns into fanaticism, be if for nintendo, Sony, japanese games, mech games, or whatever, and I just don't believe that it's healthy. but that's just people, not places.

Caco comes form there for gawds sake!

Nice, and to think how we have supported RLLMUK in the past when the forum has been unavailable, or you have wanted to host your meets.

I just hope pricks like this are the exception here, rather than the norm.

Guest Two Heavens

I doubt anybody would want you to get that impression marcus.

I personally read the forum a whole lot. Very informative it is too.

Unfortunately forums tend to throw up idiots from time to time, as I'm sure you're aware. I've noticed several people on the NTSC forums that are hardly complementary towards this place, but I doubt there's any true (and I hasten to add utterly pointless) inter-forum animosity, or indeed any hate directed towards NTSC-UK in general.
