Lost - The Full Series Thread

So I'm in the US, and don't know how it works for you guys over in the UK - how long do you have to wait for it to come on over there? Or do you have to get it through less-than-legal means?

I literally sit here with envy for a couple of hours until it's on a usenet server, after which I ejaculate an ocean of joy over a period of 45 minutes.

http://ezrss.it/search/index.php?show_name...ue&mode=rss should work as a feed, they've changed the site around a bit so I'll have to report back on that. Failing that, there's a tutorial here: link. It looks like they do it a slightly different way, I would just use a Lost feed (hopefully as per the link above), then basically each week just change the filter to download a specific episode and away you go. If you get stuck, let me know, I've not set mine up for this series yet, if needs be I'll knock up a quick guide.
There's just one ep at the moment, right?

I've set this up as explained above and I only have one episode waiting for me this morning? :):(

Episode 1 + 2:

I wasn't feeling it at all, I'm not sure if it's because I already knew a few little bits ahead of time.

The alt timeline doesn't seem to have any point at all. Is it all suppose to lead up to them doing something in alt-time that effects the real-time world?

It also felt like I was watching the adult version of Goonies for a while.

It wasn't that bad, some kick-ass bits obviously. I rolled my eyes at the typical mystical Oriental man that showed up. And the music score is dire, with overly-emphasized violins to express shocking moments.

I still have faith though. The journey of John Locke makes this entire show.

So good to have Lost back and that opener didn't disappoint.

So Smokey is in Sayid now? That would explain why Jacob wanted him kept alive? I think its a fair bet that the piece of paper said that they ALL had to be kept alive, possibly to stop Smokey possessing them. Interesting to have it confirmed that Smokey is the Jacob Nemesis, rather than something that he can control, or a "pet" or something like that. A bit odd though, because it doesn't really tie in with the "security system" line that we have been fed since near the beginning. I'm sure we'll find out more about that. I have no idea where the alternate timeline is going to fit into things - interesting that Hurley is now the luckiest guy in the world - presumably because he never heard the numbers? And all the other characters, I think, seemed pretty much identical to the "real timeline" pre-crash Losties. Interesting to hear Smokey's thoughts on Locke - I think it's going to end with Jacob proving him wrong...

ep 1+2

Loved the first episode, I was worried the whole show would be the alternate timeline and am excited about how both timelines will inevitably work together. Now the second episode...I'm just not digging these oriental temple guys at all, seems too hokey pokey and cliche and the last thing we want is ANOTHER flaming mysterious group right in the very last season. It's worrying that they are adding more mysteries into it instead of answering them but will see. Aha, sayid being possessed by Smokey? Didn't think of that at the time. It's possible. Would be cooler if he possessed Jack though!
