Lost - The Full Series Thread

Yeah, I think you've misunderstood me Laine. I'd LOVE to keep them all on hard drive and watch them one after another at the end, I was agreeing with Valiant on that, but I don't think I'd be able to go that long without accidently hearing or seeing a massive spoiler.

That's all.

I was so into last season's Lost, and I had this same fear. So every week I'd sleep at 6am just to make sure I've seen the episode without spoilers. I'll probably do it again this season.

Does anyone remember what the deal was with Ben/John turning the Donkey Wheel? I seem to remember at some point someone (Jacob? or someone like Jack's dad, now commonly believed to be an incarnation of smoky/man in black) reprimanding Ben or John about who had turned the wheel. It might have been when Ben was being judged ? He was told "But you didn't do what I told you, did you?" In a way that made it sound very important. What happened again?

Locke got told off for not pushing the wheel, presumably because El Smokey needed Locke to get off the island, die and return to make Ben kill thingy. But Ben ended up off the island with Locke alive. Doh! etc

The best way to watch TV is one episode a week with plenty of time to theorise and obsess and discuss in between. Kinda like watching it as broadcast then. Watching a whole series in one go? Did that for series one and I missed half of the things that happened.

I cannot do this now as firstly my schedule does not allow it and to be honest I have gotten out of the mode of having to habitually tune in every seven days or so.

Secondly actually watching them as a set was far far better for Lost as the series progressed as the arcs became more entangled season five was basically set over a small period of time and I could actually remember what was happening from episode to episode.

I don't like watching TV at all anymore and would rather watch a block of six episodes or wait on the DVD's

There's also no way I could have watched The Wire on a weekly basis.

I'm currently re-watching all series, averaging about 3.5 episodes a day, and I must say I'm spotting a lot more things this time round.

I don't know if this is because it's my second viewing of the series, or if it's because it's all so fresh in my mind.

I'm certainly noticing a lot more of the pre-Island encounters this time around.

I also enjoy watching TV series in a short burst. Did it with the first series of Damages, and both of Breaking Bad, and this could well be, in part, why they're my two favourite drama series of recent years.

Be aware folks, the first four minutes of the premier have been put on line.

oh FFS...now I'mgoing to be paranoid of going to various sites for the next few days...

It REALLY annoys me if I even see someone doing something like "OMG, the first 4 mins of Lost :) "

:(

Anyone else watching Lost : Full Circle? Some mentalist has taken themes of the show and made compilations of clips minus flashbacks/forwards and put them in order. I'm currently watching 'White Rabbit', it's just over 3 hours. Quite cool if you don't have the time to go back and watch the entire thing again, loads of little clips in it that I had forgot about like Christian telling the dog to go and wake up Jack...

I've seen it and there's actually very little 'new' footage, so don't be too paranoid. Next to nothing to is given away but it is best to keep it in the Spoiler thread rather than in here.

Oh no, you've kind of given it away there haven't you?

Argh I'm going insane, I just want to freeze myself...

You're hardly spoiling anything for yourself to watch the very first 4 minutes* in their entirety as intended. It's just like starting to watch the episode now, then pausing it for a few days. Only in the meantime you're masturbating furiously!

*90 seconds - most of it is S5 recap.

Hmm it's not at all that spoilery if you know a little bit about the season. Very interesting though :)

<fingers in ears> La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La

I can see with my hyper sensitivity to spoilers I'm even going to have to avoid this thread.

Bye ^_^

Be careful out there folks, the first episode has been pirated and stuck on the internet. Apparently it was taken from the Hawaiian premier of the show that ABC hold every year just before the show starts on TV proper. Filmed with a hand-held camera, poor quality.

Ha, surely you'd think they would of tightened security on that? or maybe...nothing interesting happens in the first episode? bet it's just a filler episode :)

Nah, they did the same thing for Season 2 and 3 as well. I may have watched the first 5 minutes but there's no way I'm watching this.
