Lost - The Full Series Thread

Still wondering how it's going to end though. I've not heard one suggestion that 'feels' right. Hopefully they'll manage to keep it secret and unguessable right until the bitter (sweet?) end.

I like the idea that it might come back to the Valenzetti Equation/the Numbers - i.e the end of the human race, and perhaps trying to avert it. They just completely ditched the whole 'numbers' mystery on the show, and I imagine lots of people who've never heard of The Lost Experience are wondering what they were all about.

Exactly. We never found out why the station imploded or why there was massive magnetic force down there did we?

Quick heads up - obviously there's a new ep tonight but there's not a new episode next week, the 22nd. The show returns on the 29th with a new episode. After which we get one more new episode before the 2 hour finale.

Short breaks are no problem. When Heroes was still good, back in S1, I watched the first 15-or-so episodes in a massive three-day bender, then went online to get the next one. WHAT? THREE MONTHS? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

So there's a new mystery about who exactly that big curly-haired chap (Bram) works for. He implies that he's working for Ben's team, yet on the island he doesn't show any recognition of him. Was the woman who brought Sayid onto the plane also in the van that abducts Miles? She also ends up working for Ben but doesn't realise it.

Also, where does Chang say that the scientists who arrive on the sub at the end are from? I missed it.

Doesnt SHOW any recognition.

Yeah, precisely. It could be that Ben was tacitly doing his two minions on the beach a favour by getting rid of Ceasar, who was a nobody with ideas above his station.

Wouldn't it be cool if Pierre Chang was still alive and acting as a third faction trying to gain control of the island in some shadowy successor to the Dharma Initiative? We don't know what happened to him do we?

Pob, the

scientists were from Ann Arbor.

I was just reading up on Chang on Lostpedia, and saw that that was where he is from, and realised that was what he said. So do we reckon they are Dharma-approved scientists or affiliated just with Chang? I was also reminded that Chang loses an arm at some point, as evidenced by the orientation videos. I bet we see that soon.

I love episodes like this

nothing major to add to the plot, apart from the rather obvious Chang being Mile's dad & the return of Faraday, but some good dialogue and set ups for future episodes. WTF is Sawyer going to do next, where has Faraday been and what about Ben - he was back with the Dharma lot before the purge wasn't he, so he should return at some point - how's he going to explain everything?

From way back in the thread:

As for Miles being Dr Pierre Chang's son, what evidence is there for this? OK, there's the bit where Faraday suggested he might have been on the island before to Miles in this episode, but before that, what was there? Because it seems like people are just saying "Chang had an asian son, Miles is asian, QED". Which is pretty stupid.

Egg on your face motherfucker.

Forget the Ben/Locke spin off show, we need a Hurley/Miles road movie!

Good episode, especially as you can see the cracks start to show up, especially toward the end. Interesting stuff with Miles and his dad, really liked that scene near the end where Miles is watching himself with his father. I wonder if Miles (adult) does something to try and get his mom and young Miles off the island when he thinks trouble is coming? Much like Faraday tried with Charlotte. So in another twist of fate, Mile's complete lack of a father after 3 months of his life could actually be his own fault! Similar to how Sawyer & Kate (and Jack I guess, for not operating) were responsible for Ben becoming EVEL!

And given Miles mentions he didn't see his father after three months, and the baby looked about that, can we assume it's all about to go tits up?

Yeah, another good episode.

Miles/Hurley's always a winner.

Jack's gotta come big soon I suspect.

Do we think Miles is going to be the reason Chang loses his arm a la a reverse Darth/Luke? Alluded to, bit too obvious though I suppose.

A week hiatus is bloody annoying though.

I can see it...

Miles: Chang, I'm your son, but older.

Chang: NOOOOOOOOOOOOO

...but with improvements!

Hurley's version end swith Luke and Darth talking it out, making it up and then deciding that for the benfit of the whole galaxy, Endor must be destroyed....."lets face it, Ewoks suck dude"

Gotta say, I'm loving Lost at the moment. They are finally answering a few questions, everythings fitting into place nicely and every episode is leaving me with wanting to see the next episode more than anything.

I take it the comic-con video from last year is considered a spoiler?

Cause it makes sense of the main thrust of this episode, surely?

I don't think it should be a spoiler. Its official stuff released by the writers so part of the canon, surely. Spill it but put it in spoiler tags, that way surely no one can complain? I haven't seen any comic-con videos.
