Lost - The Full Series Thread

That scene was dumb.

Rose: "Hey Locke, looks like we both underwent some kind of miracle!"

Locke: "I agree. Let us not talk about it, just wink at each other knowingly."

Rose: "Excellent idea! And a totally natural thing to do!"

I thought that it was more of a case that Rose knows Locke hasn't talked to anyone about being in a wheelchair so she was kind of respecting his wishes by not talking about it.

I kind of like this about Lost. They have built some of the different relationships really nicely.

The same natural way that Polar Bears, black smoke creatures, and underground robotic arms attack people?

He fell from the top of a cliff in a rusty old plane. I think stopping a guy from being disabled is slightly different than stopping someone from bleeding internally (and externally).

It is? I don't see how.

In fact I'd have thought making a disabled man walk and stopping cancer in it's tracks is surely harder than stopping bleeding.

I'm no nanobot, mind.

Annoying there's 3 weeks to wait, but after that it's a straight run to the end.

I saw a news post on some site that the actor who played Sayid was concerned about characters getting killed off at the end of this season, as they didn't know who it would be.

Tell you what someone will do when Series Two is finished. Or should do.

Make one big episode, highlights of both series. It would probably be, what... 3hrs long? It could be a feature film! Would be wicked to watch through like that I bet.

I'm stopping watching Lost as of now. I'm thinking that I'd rather stop now on a non-cliffhanger than download the rest of the season and wait god knows how long for season 3. Instead, I'll watch season 2 again on Channel 4, so that when the inevitable cheap, manipulative cliffhanger appears I won't have so long to suffer before the start of season three.

Works for me.

Right, the next NEW episode will be on May 3rd.

There's no new episode this week and next week looks to be some sort of Lost special. Possibly a look back on the season so far etc. The usual Lost filler thing.

According to Spoilerfix, who are rarely off, this is how the season pans outs...(ep titles removed)

Special: Lost: Reckoning

Airdate: April 26, 2006

Episode 2.20:

Airdate: May 3, 2006

Episode 2.21:

Airdate: May 10, 2006

Episode 2.22:

Airdate: May 17, 2006

Episode 2.23: Title Unknown (2-hour season finale)

Airdate: May 24, 2006 from 9 to 11 p.m.

So you've got three normal eps then a double then a 4 month wait until the show starts again at the end of September. There were rumours the show would start in October to try to save on the the amount of gaps but nothing has since come of it. I *think* ABC were strongly opposed to doing like 24 did, start in January with no gaps, as no further info has emerged about the idea, the same goes for the show being split into 3 sections, with say 8 episodes, 8 week gap, 8 episodes, 8 week gap, rest of season.

hope its him.

How the hell did the US get into this trap of having so many gaps between eps. Imagine watching 24 like that.

Season 2 brings up loads more questions and doesn't really answer that much, but it's all done really slowly. The trailer on C4 revealed loads of things - like what's in the hatch - even the voice over spoiled part of an episode, which would be pretty annoying if you hadn't seen any of Season 2, I'd think.

I'm kind of expecting a backlash against this show if it goes beyond 3 seasons. Tomorrow, I'll be 11 episodes into season 2. I am enjoying it. But I think there is only so far they can get away with stretching the lack of knowledge about what's going on. I'm sure I would keep watching it, but I'm not so sure more casual people, like my parents, could be arsed if they try to drag it out too much. Ever since the end of season 1 (or maybe before), there have already been such rumblings from such viewers.

Lost is the only show we download as soon as we can so I'm not sure if other shows have such big gaps in their schedule. I can't ever remember it but it must happen as many similar shows finish during May, having started late September.

I hadn't watch any episodes of Lost until Saturday. I'm about 8 episodes into season one. Four more tonight should take me half way I think. Quite enjoying it. A few questions in my mind. One being the bold bloke, Locke or Lock. He seems to be everywhere, hmmm. And in the first episode why is Jack so far into the Jungle when it all kicks off.

Anyway, Season 2 is also waiting to watch once I'm done with season 1.
