Daytona being delisted 7th Feb 2023 (and Jet Set Radio. And oh no, Far Cry 2 as well! This is awful!

Is the 360 version of Daytona significantly better than or different to the Dreamcast version? I remember playing the DC version and really not enjoying it, but I also vaguely remember that the handling on the DC version was awful without a steering wheel.

It's better than the original arcade release, let alone the terrible Dreamcast port.

The 360 version is a remaster of the original game. Daytona 2001 is its own game.

I had a large chuck of the games being delisted already, but I did buy Skate 2 and all DLC (Bar time saver), N+, Eets Chowdown!, the comic for Mass Effect 2, Cloning Clyde, Spelunky DLC.

N+ is one of those tough platform games, while Eets Chowdown! is a clever puzzle game like Crazy Machine & Bill's Tomato Game, plus has a superb score mode, that I think if more people had played the game would have been a real hit.

Phantom Breaker:Battle Grounds is also a great arcade style scrolling beat'em up.

My word, I’m trying to buy JSR before it’s gone and can’t seem to on the website so fired up the 360 - it’s an hour later and updates and constantly having to sign in with a new app password each time and no closer to being able to buy it - where is the bloody store!? There seeems no way to view or buy games on the console 🤬

Even though I like to think of myself as a connoisseur of the genre this particular title has never been on my radar. Thank for pointing it out and I will get it tonight !

Nope, I own Daytona but I’ve tried to get JSR via the 360 marketplace site and always get stuck on the purchase screen 😧

Worse still I think my 360 is faulty as it just keeps freezing when I try to do anything 😭

Ahhh, this sounds reminiscent of my experience trying to buy some of the 360 versions of the Sonic games. Had to use the USA store page to get through the purchase screen.

May have also needed to do it in an in private window while holding a chicken on a Tuesday, I’d have to check my notes.

I tried to buy Daytona last year to play on my One X, no way of doing it so I hooked up the 360 and it was such a colossal pain in the arse trying to get the store to load and adding funds that I ended up downloading the model 2 emulator instead.

Just flagging up, as I haven't seen it emphasised in here, that Defense Grid: The Awakening is one of the best tower defense games ever made (primarily contesting that position with, er, Defense Grid 2). It is available on other platforms (I've only ever played it on PC), but if you've only got access to Xbox consoles I'd strongly recommend picking it up while you can.

Agree on this. They are both superb games and I've sunk many hours into both.

+1, but just to add there is about 5 DLC packs and one of which is based around the game Portal too.

The in console store still works it's the NXE tab that past the friends one, I have had a few error messages signing in. so have to sign out. If you haven't used the console in a long time it may try to get a firmware update. You might be better going offline and try installing the firmware via a newer game if it can't pull it down from the online.

360 version has two character DLCs and one for retro style music. I have the PS4 version also, but that adds in a odd filter and changes the intro, if for any reason you can't get in on 360 you can get it on PS4 at the moment, it is on the Xbox One store as well. As the game is back catalogue.

I also grabbed Daytona USA and JSR on PS3, just in case they disappear too.

Trying to buy this via the web xbox 360 marketplace it assumes in the US even though my MS account is firmly UK based.

Make sure to grab it via the en-gb link in the UK: https://marketplace.xbox.com/en-gb/Product/DAYTONA-USA/66acd000-77fe-1000-9115-d80258410b1d?DownloadType=Game
