Zelda, probably still Demonschool and Snuffkin.

I'm slightly interested in Diablo IV, but the enjoyment of that game remains a gamble for a die-hard Path of Exile fan.

I'll probably be excited for the games I play during Next Fest starting next week. Demos are incredibly valuable!

Ooh, there's another Next Fest coming up? That's genuinely exciting!

As long as there are plenty of surprises, I'll be happy enough.

However, I'm obviously keen to see how Zelda fares, and I'm really looking forward to more Cyberpunk.

I can't think of much else on the horizon - although having said that, if Sony could announce Horizon Forbidden West coming to PC sometime soon, that would be pretty nice.

Spider-Man 2

Starfield

Doubt The Outer Worlds 2 will appear this year, so that’s it in terms of pure hype. Sure I’ll pick up a few other things, especially on Gamepass, but nothing much else on the horizon is tickling my fancy at the minute.

@Benny Do you think the System Shock remake will be good for those of us who’ve never played it, or likely to be lost on us?

It could be a shock to the system if you've never played it

Based on what I played it will be to all intents and purposes like playing a completely new game. Not having played the original will probably even enhance the experience considerably.

1. Street Fighter 6

2. Hades 2

3. Those games we haven't actually seen anything of yet, and will probably end up disappointing, but I'm looking forward to them because the IP is familiar: 007, Wonder Woman, Perfect Dark.

New Zelder, mainline Final Fantasy and the new Street Fighter all in the same year, all within the space of like a month, is fucking berserk if you think about it. Computer game franchise royalty right derrrr. Nobody’s even worried about any of them. In fact, everyone is expecting each of them to be shit hot.

When you were a wee guy imagining what games would be like in the future, you probably imagined something close to 2023, except you’d probably have been miles off it at the same time.

1. Starfield - just hoping it gives me the same joy as that first play through of Skyrim. If it fulfills its potential, I'll be absolutely hooked. Please be good - the delays won't bother me one iota if it is!

2. Zelda: TOTK - stop the negativity. This will be immense.

3. Redfall - I can see many evenings of hilarity with friends when this drops. I think it looks superb

Special mentions to Forza, Hades 2 and Jedi Survival.

Street Fighter 6 mostly. I'll likely book a couple of days off work for it so I can have a few solid sessions of "Unable to connect to server" messages. I'm glad Zelda releases before it so I can play through that too.

Silksong is apparently this year? That should be great. I kinda want the Resident Evil 4 remake as I love the original but maybe I'll save money by playing through that again instead.

I'm excited for the Yakuza games but I'm still 4 and a half games behind (plus 2 Judgments) so I'll pick them up later just continue playing through the series at my own pace.

I might fall for the Steam Deck hype and buy one to play Boom Street on the go.

I needn’t post, you’ve said it for me joffo. :)

1. Resident Evil 4 Remake

2. Wanted: Dead

3. Rain Code

The last one is Danganronpa dude's next thing.

A large portion of why I'm into Wanted: Dead is still the name which makes me laugh every time I read it.

Resident Evil 4 is a very popular videogame and I think the remake will be good.

My anticipation is lessened by the inevitable endless moaning about the performance. The thread is probably going to be a no-go for me.

If there’s a game I’m absolutely going to play and will absolutely be making up my own mind on how good the game is, I basically steer clear or put the thread on ignore as soon as it comes out.

The thread is really useful for news and a bit of hype leading up, but is then sunk to the depths of misery by the usual candidates who must buy every game to for-fill their armchair games critic fantasies.
I don’t care, I’m not interested.

1. Street Fighter 6 - I already have the week booked off so I can dedicate an appropriate amount of time to getting wrecked.

2. Diablo 4 - which is a really annoying because after all the shit Activision-Blizzard have been doing I'm not going to be able to buy it

3. Wo Long - I know responses to the demo were pretty mixed, and putting block and parry on separate buttons is basically madness, but I'm still quite keen to see how it plays out. They've got a lot of good will built up with me from the Nioh games.

1. Final Fantasy XVI - I mean it looks absolutely nuts, and incredibly ambitious in scale. I just hope it has the story chops and combat to go with the scale.

2. Resident Evil 4 Remake - RE2r is the best remake ever, and whilst I am sceptical they can pull it off again, I am hopeful.

3. Sea of Stars - RPG by The Messenger team? Sign me up!

If FFVII Rebirth was guaranteed this year it would be number 1, but at the very least it will be 1 next year!

Also, can we have a Viewtiful Joe remake please Capcom (just visuals, the gameplay is fine as is thanks).
