Uh, I don't have much to put here just yet; I just wanted to make a thread. But Halogenix did release this nice chilled track as a preview of a forthcoming EP (out March 3rd), so I'll put that below!

This came out today, and its the usual brilliant fare from Death Of Guitar Pop!  : Bosh!
Didn't expect them to release until next week, so was a surprise.  There is a radio edit but this is the NSFW version.

( And yes i think one of them has spelt whether wrong  intentionally? -  i will send them a message )

Does anyone know if there's a tab or something on Spotify that recommends newly released music the algorithm thinks you might like? I get a notification when a new album by a band I've listened to before comes out, but I can't see anything that says 'New Music', or similar.

Also, it goes without saying that Duff Mckagans bass playing throughout the album is excellent.

Theres a page called Made for you with personal playlists and mixes (click Search in the sidebar and it shows as an option).

 

The main playlists are these two:

Release Radar - new release from artists you listen to

Discover Weekly - generated each week with tracks and artists you've not heard they think you'll like

 

Theres also a ton of curated playlist on there which are great for finding things like - Pollen / New Noise / Rap Caviar / Fresh Finds

 

You can see a bunch of them on spotify's user profile. Annoyingly there isnt a way to see all the curated playlists but this site has a some listed from each region.

Just stumbled across a lovely shoegaze Korean band called Parannoul. Was not aware there is a underground Korean shoegaze scene, suddenly discovering  a wealth of fanstatic bands, including Della Zyr, Weatherday and Asian Glow all on the Longinus Recordings label.

When considering the end of year poll, Bungle's Forms EP was my favourite release of 2022 - and the recent Under Influence EP (Part 1) delivers another blend of nice beats and rich "atmospheric" () noises. I can see it featuring in my end of year list...

But the new one feels like a real return to form, it takes the best elements of the second and first and combines them into something really great:

New Lana Del Ray. This track came out back in December, but the full album was released more recently. She's got a wonderful voice.
