I can't stand Bananarama post 1987 when SAW got involved. Before then they were the queens of Balearic. I know people love those songs but they're really not for me, and I am locked in for life when it comes to Hi-NRG.

I went to a karaoke night a few months ago where some bloke did Angels, he had a decent voice so he fell into the "impressive rather than entertaining" category until it got to the instrumental break, at which point he decided that just shutting up for a bit wasn't an option, so he just shouted "AAANGEEELLLSSS!!!" at the top of his voice over and over again until the words started again when he resumed his previous boringly competent demeanour.
