Reformed adulterer, apparently.

I genuinely heard ‘dedicate this award to the reformed orthodox Rabbi Bill Clinton’.

How did that kid even get up there? I could see he was told to move at one point as he started on the right and ended up stood at the back. Everyone assumed he was with From?

Christ, just started watching the stream for last night. The host looks like Big Bird cosplaying a flamingo.

Then the guy who accepts the award for Marvel Snap appears to be wearing Two Face’s jacket…

I feel I’ll be skipping most of this video…

Nice of Xbox to showcase…. *checks notes* ….nothing.

I do wonder why they didn't think it was important to have some kind of presence (beyond a couple of ads) when there were so many games given release dates for 2023 at the show.

Is it possible they pulled showing games guaranteed for next year - Starfield and Redfall - because putting emphasis on those Bethesda exclusives might be fuel to the discussion about the assurances Microsoft gave about Bethesda games being available elsewhere after the buyout and the similar claims regarding Activision?

I read something that said they wanted to do their own thing rather than having their stuff buried away with loads of other games.

Cynically I’d say that they haven’t had any first party releases this year* and weren’t nominated* for anything so kept their heads down. Sort of like how you turn up for the work office party even though you won’t be mentioned in the bosses speech.

* I think? Could be wrong.

Have you got any more info on that? Have they announced what and when that would be?

I enjoyed this. Never watched one before and with the right timing of the mute button It was pretty watchable. Saw Kratos on stage for an eternity but by the grace of Zeus I didn't hear a word of it.

Some banging reveals/10, would watch again.

No, just checked it was in pcgamer who said that (sorry), MS haven’t announced anything about their own thing.

I know the joke is they've got no games, but they've got plenty in development. I just want them to show some stuff off for once. Sony seem to be managing things ok now we're out of the pandemic with a steady stream of things to come, so they can't use that as an excuse any more.

I’m so confused. Was he not part of the group? and just stood there with them throughout?

I clocked him immediately as he was notable for hanging around at the edge of the group in that kind of 'close enough to be socially associated but feigning disinterest' kinda way, and the awkward shuffling with hands in pockets. Not the kind of body language you see at awards, even for awkward devs.

Basically he looked like someone had forced him into a 'bring your kid to work day' thing.

But yeah, in all seriousness it doesnt speak well of their security staff. And is in keeping with the rest of the show - content was entertaining, but production values were, er, polished but disorganised. Long speeches and old actors off their face on god knows what. Oof.

I was hoping to see some more of Hellblade 2 which had an incredible reveal.

Gamepass is a great proposition but one I don’t use that much. Here’s hoping 2023 gives me a few more reasons for having a series X as despite having one at launch I’ve used mine quite sparingly, it really only got constant use when Infinite came out.
