I use https://steamdb.info/sales/history/ as a countdown/tracker, but the estimates can be a bit shaky until there's official confirmation.

I think their sales throughout the year pretty much always start around 6pm UK time, don't they?

It's sad to say that because I'm all alone this Christmas, this is the only 'present' I will get to open and so I'm rather excited about it. 

 

Because of that, I will avoid being on Steam in the evening and avoid looking at emails until Christmas morning so as not to spoil the surprise. Anybody else do the same?
