Poland do play a block so low they could build a basement car park in it, so could frustrate the French. But if France score first can’t see Poland doing much beyond hoping they don’t lose by two or three.

Senegal might have had more luck against England with Mane running at a pretty pedestrian central defence. Maybe the only shock in the last-16 will be no extra time or pelanties. And Morocco knocking out Spain.

Mane is out no?

I think it's been a pretty boring game and much like the games last night, Poland have never really been in the game. That their best chance was a shot smashed straight at Lloris - about the only place it wouldn't have been a goal - sums them up really.

I'm not watching at the moment - assume the BBC half time team will be cumming hard over Mbappe like the Messi climax yesterday?

I didn't see their half time analysis, but they'll definitely be doing that at full time now.

France have this won but I don’t think they have looked amazing doing so.

They haven't needed to be, Poland have been, well, Poland. Probably the worst team to get out of the group stage?

That was USA although Poland also like leaving opponents with acres of space in the box.

Poland have been much better today than they were in the group games but when Mbappe plays like this, you've got to take your chances and Poland have had a few.

France are definitely not unbeatable but with that guy in their side, you need to be at your best to beat them.
