Perhaps, though thanks to the result in the other match, Japan didn't have any opportunity to finish second. You'd have to go back to their opening game and settle for a draw instead.

Yeah, Suarez has been heavily involved all over the pitch whereas you feel the Ghanaians have all got caught up in the moment. Feels like a proper "For me, it was Tuesday," for Uruguay.

I don't think he went through him.  As m'colleague said above, you've seen 'em given and you've seen 'em not given.  I get the feeling that this ref is not particularly well disposed to giving Uruguay much.

That's the point, I would assume if you connect with the opponent which causes them to fall BEFORE you get the ball then it's a foul.

 

However I don't know the actual law, does anyone? We will never know.
