Hit 45 and am getting absolutely wrecked So much so I'm down to 42. I keep trying different decks and get the same results. The Ongoing deck is definitely not powerful enough. 

 

Anyway I've only got 2 missions to go, win with snaps and win with 40 or more total power and it's surprising how much of a slog it is.

Got lucky with a draw and finally pulled Thor, and had Black Panther pinned. The most annoying thing about this match was I forgot to snap, and he retreated. I was about to play Odin in the middle…

Just managed to scrape into Platinum after two hours or so of dancing around level 49. Think I had eight attempts to tip myself over and kept bottling it 😆

 

Happy with that. It was my aim for the season and highest finish and didn't look likely on Friday but then I finally managed to pick up Sauron who I'd been waiting for for weeks. Using him to null the negative effects of Red Skull, Typhoid Mary and Ebony Maw has proven fruitful.

 

Looking forward to fucking around with my deck again and ballsing it up next season 👍

I'm still amazed how I got to 65, then hung around from 60-65 right until the end.

 

I also picked up Mr Negative for free and thought he switched all the cards in your hand. Couldn't wait to use him!

Mr Negative is great when it works out right, especially with Wong/Mystique and Black Panther/Zola, as you get Wong for 2 energy and Mystique and Zola are free, as long as they’re in your deck with you play Mr Neg. Been playing him with Psylocke and Zabu to try and get him on turn 3 rather than turn 4, which makes a difference.

 

Black Panther doubles his basic power on reveal (4 to 8). On that go, he doubled twice more with Wong (up to 32), and with Mystique he doubled twice again (128). Then Zola moved Wong and Mystique before Black Panther on that go, so he doubled again (256) when he materialised, and then doubled four more times because the new Wong and Mystique (1024). Annoyingly I hadn’t anticipated Zola transferring Wong and Mystique first, so I had no space left on the LHS and lost.

If you like playing Galactus, sure he’s more or less essential for that deck.

Other than that, he has his uses in destroy decks in a limited way where you can either use Mystique to copy his skill (providing you got Knull out before turn 6 via Wave/ Psylocke) or also getting him out before turn 6 and then using Arnim Zola, which in turn doubles his power once destroyed and then placed again.

It did it to me on Android last week. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and it let me log back in.

Yeah it's done this to me about 3/4 times. Always uninstall and reinstall to fix.

Saying that, if it works why not? I want to run an Arnim Zola/Nimrod deck just because I can call it Arnimrod but it basically looks like a destroy deck but with Wave, Arnim and Nimrod. Anyone whose a decent deck builder had any success with that combo?

 

My ArNimrod deck is funny but woefully inconsistent. This is an actual cry for help. I am an idiot. It needs refinement from people who done go "SMASH EVERYTHING IN THE FACE" as a tactic to every encounter

Thanks all.  Reinstall did the trick.  Also, while looking around in the settings to make sure everything was ok I found the toggle for 60 fps.  It does seem much smoother and shiny.

Yeah, bought it this month but if they pump it again I think I’ll be oot.  I bought last month’s on impulse but barely played Nimrod so it was a bit of a waste
 

The new card is good fun though!  I chucked it in a Mr Negative deck but I think it could also work well in a zoo deck where you tend to throw out a load of 1 drops on T6.

Nimrod would be a way better card if he was 4/4, I think.

 

Best use I've found for him uses electro to get him out early, then destroyer to, well, destroy. Means you can sometimes sneak a Death in on the last turn.

I've been playing around with hit monkey. Works nicely with Arnim Zola as it triggers the on reveal again. I won a game I was surely going to lose by using Arnim Zola on a hit monkey who had four points on the 'on reveal triggers twice' location, and playing a rock with my last point on turn seven. 8 power monkeys on both other locations and Angela boosted by the Arnim getting sent to them too.

Top tip: If you find the game doing weird network shit (getting stuck in a 'Connecting...' loop etc.), close the app (don't just minimise it), launch it again, and go to the shop tab then back to the main menu. Going in and out of the shop forces it to refresh the connection to the master server. You shouldn't need to ever uninstall/reinstall unless something has gone really wrong.

 

Regarding battery drain: does turning off gyroscope have any significant impact, or is the option just there for people who dislike the effect? I'm not sure if modern phones just poll the gyro and accelerometers all the time regardless of whether an app is reading the data.

@Jammy I snapped (ahem) up Black Panther for 3k tokens last night.

 

You're right waiting for it all to align is a pain. I wasnt getting them all to drop and still haven't managed it.

 

This is what I found with Wong previously, so I added Ultron/Dr Doom in to give me more options.

With Mystique still in the deck a copy of Patriot makes Ultron Drones 5 each.

Super Skrull then sucks up anything opposite - I used him yesterday to boost my Doombots to 19 each!

That's really helped me out, otherwise you don't get Wong drop early enough to make anything work.

 

What I did manage to do was to go with BP in the deck last night thou was like up for Ultron as above (Patriot + Mystique after Wong as mystique didn't drop early enough) - and then he dropped professor X.

Hmmm I wanted to Ultron it out.

 

I took a chance and played BP on the right, thinking my opponent would think he could beat me there. Surrendering the middle and risking Zabu on his own - thinking he wouldn't risk the quantum tunnel.

 

It worked!

Seems like I'm playing the same people over again and again. There are seemingly about half a dozen of us stuck in the mid 90s on the hell climb to infinite. I would suspect bots but they use emotes and play a pretty solid game so probably not. Anyone else with the same experience?
