that looks like the thing, now I'm really not sure what I played it on as version on phone and all sorts, even a Steam version (which I definitely didn't play) but no info in proton db or store itself of deck compat.

 

oddly enough a similar thing turned up on Apple Arcade this week called Stitch, which is very nice.
