Looks interesting (not sure I'm a fan of rooting-tooting open gun-carrying 8-bit guy anymore, tbh) but this also looks interesting: an 18mhz pipelining Z80 implementation with a similar set of display hardware capability and a heavily modified BBC Basic interpreter.

BTW, @AceGrace let us know more about the A2560K when you get it. I had a look around Youtube and the Pheonix site, but can't get much idea of what it's like.

Will do. As far as I understand at the moment, there isn't a lot of software yet so the hope is that people will port and create it.  It wouldn't be a machine where you would buy it at this stage and have access to lots of things.

For that, I would go for a Next or a Mega65

I can't get over the quality of the case and that keyboard. I knew I was right to get blue switches. Unfortunately i can't turn it on yet as the cables haven't arrived from Amazon. I need a DVI to HDMI converter and a kettle plug lead which I don't appear to have any spare.

Still, 68040 inside 🙂

Love the LED keyboard-light boot sequence. I could imagine the music and countdown from The Thunderbirds playing during that.

Got my Agon Light2 this week. Cool little board. Finding a USB keyboard that still supports the PS/2 protocol was a sod, though.

 

First BBC Basic program on it (not my code, just minor adaptations by me).
