JXD S7800 Quad Core Android Gaming Tablet

Just got this out of the loft. Are these still relevant as handheld retro gaming consoles or totally obsolete thanks to the latest smaller form devices? From what I remember it was pretty competent at most stuff up to and including Dreamcast. It's certainly pretty heavyweight with that large 7" screen. Looks like I must've wiped most of the content so rather than put loads of stuff on it again I thought I'd gauge forum opinion.

They were pretty good, emulation was decent too for most things so don't see why you can't use it today.

I definitely consider the larger screen to be a plus.

 

Does it still hold a charge? The battery in my handheld was unreliable from the outset.

I did a video of it back in 2014. Don't think the reflection was that bad but I had lights on it from every angle as my camera was a bit guff at the time:

I've still got one of these and also the second one they did (the JXD S192K ), unfortunately it isn't the one with the NVidia Shield GPU but it does have the MAIL-T764 in it.

 

Got it 2nd hand from CEX in perfect condition a couple of years ago.
