Straight in on this as my kids want to watch it tonight and I said I'd need to check it first as showing as 16+.

Really enjoyed it - it is a nice mix of black and white old monster movie with lots of nice touches with some modern action.

As for letting the kids watch it - there is violence and blood, but as it is all in B&W then I'd put it below Multiverse of Madness in terms of Marvel horror content so if your kids have seen that I think this is fine - bit of detail in spoiler.

Spoiler

Bloke gets his hand cut off early on.  Then later when it all kicks off there is a sword in the head with blood and blood splatter all over the screen with numerous people getting killed.  In colour, it would have been 15 material, but not in B&W)

No real jump scares of anything - the boiler room bit in Multiverse is considerably more tense than anything in this.

Just finished and thought this was great - would be happy for another  halloween  special of this (not everything needs to be a full origin series)

as above there are some violent bits but as it’s done in black and white the blood / gore has a more lessening effect than if it’s was in colour (not that it effects the over show)

It was enjoyable enough with some really cool visuals and homages to the classic monster movies. A solid 3/5 hour of TV but maybe its more one for the Marvel purists who recognise the characters and backstory.

I thought this was just OK, it was nice to see a certain character appear. However, didn't find this that great but this could be bias from watching the old back catalogue of Universal Monster movies. recently  Wanted to really like it, but I was thinking was that it?.

Just yesterday I was saying how bored I am of everyone in the MCU sounding like a Buffy character and how it’s a shame Daredevil has come across to the MCU and had a personality transplant in the process. Was hoping for something a bit different from this but other than some half hearted genre visuals it’s virtually just a forgettable episode of Buffy again.

This is fun throwaway stuff.

It's very short, and the pace is all over the shop, but it's campy fun and done quite well with the homage to black and white horror classics.

You can definitely tell it's an... experiment. The scope is very limited and the cast is very small - to the extent I'd wager a fair chunk of the people involved are stunt men and women by trade - and not much truly happens. But it's still done well.

I'd hope we get to see more of our heroes. Marvel really needs to delve into it's horror/supernatural catalogue and this lot basically belong in it.

There's a behind the scenes thing up now, Director by Night. I'm about half way through and it seems more about Michael than the show. But that's not a criticism. There's tons of stuff about him making little home movies growing up. Some great stuff, looks like he had a good time growing up.
