I feel too rough to write much. However as much as a game can't ever be perfect, Sam Barlow gets close with IMMORTALITY.

 

Check it out if you can. 

 

IMMORTALITY is an interactive trilogy from Sam Barlow, creator of Her Story. Use the cinematic ability to teleport from scene to scene to explore a treasure trove of newly unearthed footage from the three lost films of Marissa Marcel and traverse decades of movie history

Out of interest what did you think of Telling Lies?

 

That was getting high scores all over the shop but I found it like watching paint dry.

 

There was only so much of Pound Shop Tom Hardy over-emoting during dead air that I could take.

I enjoyed it. I felt Her Story was much better though.

I personnally found the journey to be compelling for about 2/3rds of the play-time for it then to dry up and ultimately go absolutely no-where. 

It was really aluring as a mystery for a good portion of the play-time and myself and my wife where pretty compelled, but towards the end completely run out of threads and it ended on the tiniest of wimpers. I kinda both admired it and hated it equally. It's absolutely in no way a 9/10 for me. 

 

Her Story -which I've not played - seems to be a similar thing but shorter, and I'd assume tighter and better. 

 

I'm still excited to play Immortality, as I could absolutely see there was loads of good in Telling Lies, and a future game that learned from the process of making Telling Lies could end up as something cool and special.

What time is this actually available on Xbox? It says the release date is today but it isn't available for download yet.

 

Looking forward to it as really like Her Story, and have been meaning to play Telling Lies but wanted to do so with my wife and we have just never got round to it.

I played Her Story recently and would agree that it's the better game over Telling Lies. It's also on PC Gamepass (No console version unfortunately).

 

Completely forgot about Immortality coming out today. Having enjoyed Barlows other games I will definitely be giving this a go.

I don't recall rumble on cloud streaming, but the game also seems to have unsettling audio cues as well for the creepy shit, so I guess that's what you need to anticipate if you were playing on Netflix.

I think I found one of those moments you mentioned and it completely made me jump when it happened.
