Interesting to see a side by side of two youtubers on the same script* - She has far better diction and  delivery of the script although her vocal range is limited and lacks a bit of depth also she needs to work on sounding more natural. He sounds more natural but swallows his words horribly muddying the delivery completely and is more unpleasant to listen to , he has an even more restricted range of vocal tone and range and bleh.

*yes I know, HYPOCRISY, they are IN BITS lolllll, BASTARDS! etc.

OT but slightly related, it seems it may have been Larry spreading and feeding these private messages to Funky. Larry at the moment is in some "drama" with other retro youtubers for being a shitty person. Only came up in my feed after watching the Game Chaser video, again don't take this too seriously its just "drama" and just grown ass people being children.

I have no idea who Larry is so I'm just going to assume it's Larry Bird.

Or maybe Larry Graham.

larry bundy jr, another UK retro guy friends with slope and nostalgia nerd etc. it's all a bit silly but still entertaining from the depression of life.

Looks like George has turned his attention to Nostalgia Nerd and his Barcadia kickstarter.

So many questions. This is dodgy as hell 🙂

I haven't seen the video (inks)?

But it looks like its all up and running, they have a venue, machines sorted, and even have a manager called Samantha Whitehouse.

What do they want the kick-starter £25,000 of free money for?

As we all know, venues stop costing money to run once those elements are secured. Staff work for free, there's no rent to pay, food stocks replenish themselves, and old arcade machines are notorious for never needing servicing. Yeah makes no sense why someone might want an extra bit of seed capital to give their attempt at a business a bit of a cushion out of the gate. What a monster!

Exactly, the kickstarter simply says they have sourced the machines (not bought or rented - sourced), got a venue, started work on it etc. It doesn't say they have enough money to complete it in fact they say they have a chunk of money but need a little more.

Kickstarter is a valid funding avenue to help projects across the line and many projects on kickstarter have had plenty of investment before they kickstart the campaign so this is not unusual at all. If this fails they may well need to go to a bank etc but maybe they prefer something community orientated as it will also serve as PR for launch etc.

Does anyone other than cropper have anything to say about this as I do not delve into his cesspit of videos due to his abrasive, vitriolic nature and his obsessive focus. What he says in 20 minutes can be said in one paragraph usually so do we have that anywhere or is it just the usual rambling abuse.

They don't say what the money is going to be used for.

Surely they should be going to a bank to obtain a business loan.

you can say that about most kickstarters

That's why they are going charge money to play/ eat / drink. You think they will not be charging people to cover their ongoing costs and "salary"?

There is simply no need to obtain £25,000 from people. in exchange for what exactly?

In the real world, people go to a bank for a loan and pay it back when the business is successful. Take a look at Dragons' Den. They will give you your £25,000 in exchange for a percentage of the business/ future profits.

These KS things are basically, give me all the money, in exchange for nothing.

KS should be for people who have an idea but need capital/ large numbers of people to make it viable.

"I want to make an AMIGA keyboard, but the tooling costs money. If you give me £75 each, you will allow me to pay the upfront tooling costs, and in exchange you get your keyboard - a physical thing."

I'm sick of this 'give me free money' crap in retro gaming.
