yeah i had a quick go on the pc and its the same on a controller. Also saw some patch notes that says they know about it and it should be fixed in a future update.

had more of a go today and the throttle thing seems to be more of a problem than i thought it would be, as you cant leave it on half throttle it seems really slow to get going again out of corners, hope they fix it soon. Ill try and do some daily events for the team thing but probably wont play too much till its fixed.

Are these throttle issues specific to certain pedal sets?  I'm not having any problems with my setup and I can hold the car at half throttle with no issues.

that's interesting, i had the same problem (on pc) with both an xbox pad and a fanatec wheel. what pedals/setup are you using?

The issue is to do with the auto clutch engaging when it shouldn't, apparently.  You using manual clutch I assume? 

 

The game doesn't work with my shifter, so I'm just trying to use the flappy paddles.

Had a quick go on the dailies earlier and it seems the pad controls possibly have the same issue too. Seems like you’re only accelerating once the trigger is pushed in 50%. Not sure how much of an issue it is, as everyone is playing with the same problem and I’ve managed to play for 20hrs and post some top 50 times in the solo dailies before even noticing it. 🤣
 

Edit - I know fuck all about cars, so no idea if this is an issue, but this is what I’m noticing. When stationary and in 1st gear it seems the clutch is engaged until you have the trigger almost fully in and hit almost max revs, then it suddenly drops into 1st. No other gears are a problem and 1st is then fine as long as you don’t come to a stop.

So, having played over20hrs on this, I’ve now encountered a major bug that’s well odd and unfortunately has really spoilt the game. The vibration on the DualSense has stopped working! Only haptics that now work are on the left trigger, everything else is fucked. At first I thought the pad had broken but it works fine with other games. Tried readjusting the vibration settings on the game itself and.........it causes the game to crash each time. 😕 One of the weirdest bugs I’ve ever encountered. 
 

Shows how good the haptics and the DualSense itself is though, as the game feels weird as all fuck without them. Not only do you lose a layer of immersion, which is a big deal, as there’s no “feel” to the different surfaces, sense of traction, no weight to the cars etc but it’s also way harder to play well without all the different feedback. The driving feels nowhere near as visceral, impactful and exciting. Hopefully this gets sorted quickly, as I’ve been absolutely loving my time spent on this.

 

Edit - Found a solution. Go into the CONTROLS settings. Delete any Button Bindings preset you may have. Then go across into SETTINGS. Select DELETE and then RESET. Now go into the vibration setting below and adjust a parameter. The game will then ask you if you’d like to setup a custom setting. Select “yes”, then return the parameter you adjusted to its original setting and exit back to the game. Seems to sort it out. Hopefully doesn’t keep happening. 
 

What. The. Actual. Fuck. Having done the above and sorted out the lack of vibration bug.........there are now no engine sounds for the cars at all. 🤪 Ok, quit to the start menu, reload and audio and vibration should be fully working.

I'm using a Moza wheelbase with Thrustmaster shifter and pedals, all independently connected to the PC via a usb hub.

Yeah, I'm set to manual clutch but I don't actually have to use it when driving.  You can drive any of the cars as if they are sequential (even older cars which would have had h-pattern gears) and it doesn't even have any effect on starting a stage (just hold the handbrake like you would with auto clutch).  It might be worth switching over to manual clutch, mapping a control for it then ignoring it.

So true!  I had a firmware update for my wheel yesterday which I'd missed, so when I started my first stage I had no rumble or ffb.  I ended up driving the whole stage with no feedback at all as it was part of the rallymuk weekly and it obvs makes a huge difference to immersion.  The ffb and rumble effects really are great in this once you've sussed out some decent settings.  The experience did teach me to tone down the ffb a bit though, it's essential to not have the wheel fighting you too much when rallying so you can countersteer quickly.

Update incoming….I’m guessing some bug fixes as well. 
 Makes sense as promotion was weighted towards big teams who do every daily every day, rather than the fastest team. I’ve stopped doing the solo league as I’m back into GT7 after it’s latest patch but I’ll try and do the Team Rallymuk dailies every day as I still love this game.

Upcoming Changes

Updated the amount of maximum points rewarded per Weekly challenges: 5000 points (was 2500) 

Reduced the number of Daily Challenges to 2 per days (was 3). Consequently, the amount of maximum points rewarded for all dailies in a whole week is now 3500 points (was 5250) 

Players with a 0 point score won't appear in the Amateur Leagues leaderboard 

Added 1 Special Stage on average per Weekly Challenges 

Added the possibility to view the leaderboards of past challenges 

Other non-listed changes will be included in this week update, we will share them in the Patch Notes once it's available (so keep an eye on our channels for them).

Did we get promoted again this week?  I struggled for time over the last week, but I did the weekly and Sunday's dailies too.  We were sitting at the top of the leaderboard at the time.

I mean it's fine as I obliterated the early parts of the career mode, but I was a tad disappointed to see the league stuff was not available.

We should have? We were on top by a mile on Saturday. Been busy with work so not looked since then

Leagues are not available till next week, when the season starts properly. We finished top of our league last week but it was just a pre season warm up.
 

In the meantime I’ve been really enjoying playing through challenge mode. Good stuff!

The Fiesta is great isn't it?  Love the FWD handling and the transmission whine at high speed!

 

I really enjoy driving all the cars in this, I don't think I've driven a bad one even among the historical cars which haven't been great in past games.  Managing the hybrid on the new WRC cars is a lovely additional minigame too

Back playing this, and loving it.  Throttle still seems strange (I'm sure cars accelerate more at lower throttle input range than they are here), so that is nagging away at me slightly.  But the game is fun fun fun.

 

Plus, it's bloody cold in the house at the moment so I don't need to have the heating on when playing as it's a sweaty workout 😀

played a bit since the throttle thing is fixed and it's good fun. seems like an improved version of 10 (still think i prefer the more arcadey 9 though).

 

i like the career mode in how it mixes things up with historic and extreme weather events inbetween rallies. think i'd prefer a more streamlined version though, i'm not too bothered about the management side.

 

despite playing 3 versions of the game i still don't understand the tryout events, i just want to do a full season, then pick another manufacturer and do another season, am i supposed to completely avoid these events? because if you do them and accept the offer it moves you to a new season ending the one your currently on, and in previous games i've done them and rejected the offer, then at the end of the season iirc i couldn't pick them because i'd already refused them because i didn't want to end the season early.

 

also don't really get why tyres don't come in sets of 4 but whatever.

 

some historic cars seem to take ages to get going from a standstill, not sure what's going on there, it was audi quatro or something, maybe a bug as my (very slow) real life car would accelarate faster.

 

while that may sound negative i'm enjoying the game, it's good fun.

If it's the old audi quatro then they (the group 4's) suffered from horrendous turbo lag.
