If nothing else, this has a stellar cast. It reminds me a little of a Wes Anderson movie too. Russell's first film in seven years.

From Comingsoon.net

“A fascinating and richly intricate tale that brilliantly weaves historical fact with fiction for a timely, cinematic experience, 20th Century Studios’ and New Regency’s original crime epic about three close friends who find themselves at the center of one of the most shocking secret plots in American history,"

Joining Bale, Robbie, and Washington are Chris Rock, Anya Taylor-Joy, Zoe Saldana, Mike Myers, Michael Shannon, Timothy Olyphant, Andrea Riseborough, Taylor Swift, Matthias Schoenaerts, Alessandro Nivola, Rami Malek, and Robert De Niro.

It seems like it'll be like American Hustle, actors saying stupid things to eachother in an indulgent mess of anti cinematic tedium. More like a play or snl sketch.

How David O Russell attracts so many big stars and those who come back when you've got Amy Adams saying he'd make her cry on set most days and scream and shout at people is beyond me really. Maybe it's just the extroverted stupidity of that innane type of dialogue coupled with few days on set. I think it'll be overlong and I'll hate every moment from 30 minutes onwards.

Don't watch it then. If you already hate it, then it's probably not for you.
