De Bruyne's free kick was perfect. Nobody is saving that. 

Leicester and Harvey Barnes in particular have been wasteful with the few chances they've had. Vardy is almost constantly stood 40 yards from his own goal. Leicester almost equalised out of nothing but it's one way traffic. 

Does Rogers have a plan B? Doesn't look like it.

Yep. KDB could have told the goalkeeper where the ball was going in advance and it would have still gone in. 
 

Plan B is now in place for Leicester. I suspect they’d intended to keep it as tight as possible for 75 minutes and see how it plays out at the death.

Glad I missed most of this game then. Sounds like we've just gone for damage limitation for most of the game with no appetite for forcing a goal. Disappointing but helps to maintain the confidence of recent weeks. 4 clean sheets in 6 games now and just the 1 against us from City.

Teams have done that against Manchester City and lost 5-0.  It’s really difficult to know how to call it against them, especially when they’ve got a full bench. Guardiola can just adapt to your counter.  
 

Newcastle vs Villa is interesting today.  The mood in Birmingham has been upbeat this week, Gerrard going and the performance against Brentford have got everybody’s tails up and a quick appointment of the new manager (work permit requirements means he starts on November 1st) and a couple of positive updates on the injury front have just cemented the positivity.    I just can’t see us winning today, Newcastle are the form side in the league and unbeaten at home. It feels like the dreaded “free hit” because Emery comes in next week.  I’d love to get a result but I suspect Newcastle will be comfortable.

It's 0-0 and you win a throw in in the corner during injury time. You've had a single shot (which was off target) during the second half. 

 

Do you; 

 

A. Try and work a shot and attempt to snatch a winner. 

 

B. Just stick the ball into the box and see what happens.

 

Or 

 

Everton. Go all the way back to Pickford under no pressure.

Not quite.  He’s lost there in the FA Cup and in the Champions League.  He has lost there in the Premier League once before, but it was in 2017 and he was playing for Southampton.

A bit more digging, the previous record holder before Van Dijk (70) was (surprisingly?) Lee Sharpe on 59. He was a decent player but someone who has been largely forgotten but he was on the books at Manchester United when they were sweeping all before them.  It’s also one of those bullshit Premier League records because Sharpe lost in the league at Old Trafford in division one before football was invented. 

 

There’s then a fairly big drop off to a bunch of Chelsea players in the mid 30s and early 40s but Chelsea themselves went 86 games unbeaten at Stamford Bridge during the early Abramovich days (Mourinho famously had a 150 home league game unbeaten streak shared between Porto, Chelsea, Inter and Real Madrid) so I’m a little surprised nobody from that Chelsea era has a higher number. I guess squad churn, broken skulls and the fact that Terry & Lampard were there before Abramovich kills it.
