As a Spurs fan I obviously hate this man. I wouldn't even like to see him managing another team. I'd rather he just never showed his stupid bearded face ever again.

I might be a bit irrational.

Just a little ;)

I don't hate him, he was never the man for the job but he couldn't turn it down once offered. He was a product of Levy not wanting to put the money up for Conte from the off, which of course cost the club more in the short-term anyway.

Also, I think it's fair to say that some clubs suit coaches, others don't.  Spurs and Nuno was not a good fit.  I wouldn't know Spurs' situation enough to comment whether that was down to the timing, if the squad simply weren't responding to the coach professionally as they should have done, if Nuno himself just wasn't up to it.  At Wolves, it is and would be very different - Nuno clicked with us immediately.

Fortunately it all has worked out for the best (for now).

What is wrong with this bloke.

He probably wants a move to the Prem so he can score millions of goals in an easy league like Haaland 😂

Wrong manager at the wrong time with the wrong plan - disaster for us but poor fit rather than him being a bad manager I suspect.

Very irrational

He's an absolute legend for us.  By far the best manager we've had in my lifetime, and probably in the top 3 in the history of club.  And he's loved in Wolverhampton - he gave 250k of his own money to local charities, has an honorary degree from the university etc.  He had a connection with the fans that no manager has ever had before.

If he returns, I just hope it doesn't go tits up and taints the great memories he's already given us.

Its kinda like us wanting Poch back and forgetting about the last season when it all went wrong, I still think Poch was sold down the river with no money so I’d still take him back - always that ‘what if’ with him and club legend for the way he turned the club around and interest edge with fans, I assume same for Nuno and your fan base.

 Trent won't be going under Southgate.

On form he shouldn’t be anywhere near the squad…… Hope he isnt following the path of Dele :(

Klopp is spot on here, and it’s insane that people are arguing against it.

He is right but fuck me, he's a right whiner. Ooh the pitch was unfair, VAR is awful, we have injuries, we can only buy players for £50m and we're the underdogs.

He’s right.

He’s also the manager of one of six clubs that demanded and got a bigger slice of the TV revenue at the expense of the other twelve so… y’know.

Yep, obviously his club and others are guilty of different anti-competitive behaviour too. But people are acting like that negates his point for some reason.

Also he accepts it. He’s saying it as an answer to a question.

Liverpool are coming away from the top, Arsenal replacing them… or Spurs… or Chelsea… but all of them will find Man City and in future Newcastle blocking their way. It’s not Liverpool’s problem it’s the whole premier league’s. Arsenal are having an amazing season but it’s sad that I doubt any realistic fan thinks they have a chance of beating Man City to the league. And that is a pity.

Because football is full of stupid, tribal, people who can't comprehend anything that isn't viewed from the lens of their team.

That Leicester Vs Palace game was dire. Virtually nothing happened. If you showed that to someone who'd never watched football before, they'd never watch another game ever again.

Don't go into that thread if that annoys you.

It was nearly as bad as the Villa game on Monday.

Palace weren't great against Leeds either, I'm not brimming with confidence for the rest of the season, we really needed another centre mid at lease in the transfer window, haven't replaced Gallagher.

Maddison's dive was embarrassing, and he's paying the price for it by missing the Leeds game.

Don’t disagree with Klopp but financials are relative. And takes for granted that City will be as successful once Pep leaves, which is unlikely given the whole club is built in Pep’s image at the minute (only have to look at post-Ferguson Man United to see how success is not permanent) PSG have been spending hundreds of millions and haven’t managed to buy another European Cup yet (see also Man City, for eight more months at least)

The same conversations about financial gaps were had when Liverpool out-spent rivals in the 80s, United did it in the 90s, Chelsea in the 00s and City now.  Maybe Newcastle will be next. Maybe another club will be bought out by owners with pockets deeper than the Marina Trench. Football is cyclical, and Klopp gives a good sound bite, which is probably why he was asked the question in the first place.

I just find it terribly difficult to sympathise with the fuckee complaining about getting fucked over. It didn’t seem to be a problem when Newcastle took our striker in January for no other reason than we couldn’t prevent it. And we’ve done it to other clubs. That’s How Football Works and if someone moans that they are no longer the biggest shark in the tank then sympathy is going to get smaller the lower down the food chain you go.

The point is PSG, City and Newcastle can just keep spending.

Guardiola leaves? They may struggle for a few years with new managers but they will be able to attract the absolute best talent throughout the club all the time.

the important thing is nothing is done because the wrong person brought it up

Not at all. Yes, Klopp's employers tried to trademark the world "Liverpool" and agreed to join a European Super League where they'd be immune from relegation so he's always going to get pushback when pretending to be a good guy underdog, but when people at clubs smaller than Liverpool bring it up and it just goes unreported because they don't have a critical mass of fans making a racket on social media.

Nothing is done because football sold it's soul years ago and this is what we ended up with.

That has nothing to do with Klopp or the fans though, even the players weren't consulted.

If anything, more figures at top clubs should speak out because that's where the attention is.
