Newcastle did shithouse and Pope went down for about a minute in added time but I'd be furious if I was Eddie Howe. Extra Extra time. I guess Newcastle got their just desserts in the end but Liverpool were very lucky.

1. Shithousery is the in vogue thing, quite nice when it doesn't work.

2. You make your own luck.

What happened to the evil Newcastle owners?

How the worms turn.

Oh, they ARE evil, I just want to see Liverpool lose, same as I wanted a draw at the WHUSPU game and although I'm no fan of SG, I wanted Villa to beat Arsenal. Yesterday it was a Chelsea loss I was looking for, tomorrow... a United win 😛

I know far too many Liverpool fans IRL, and giving them shit after the absolute pelters I got for the 1st two games of the season as United got smacked about would have been fun, instead it'll be insuferable tomorrow...

Yep, despise the Newcastle owners, but if Newcastle beat Manchester United, Everton, etc it's hilarious.

So agree with my manc supporting buddy here.

Surely that should read 'absolute pelters for the last 5 years'.

Those Liverpool fans aren't doing their job properly.😉

Blimey.

Absolutely nuts. The golden boot has been won with 18 goals before now, and Haaland has got half that in just 5 games.

I thought City would need to adjust to playing with a proper centre forward, but they've hit the ground running.

I was gonna post something about Dougie Luiz being ace at corners, that’s the third time he’s scored from one in about six weeks if we can include pre season. However Villa did another one of their annoying traits this season and conceded mere seconds after scoring (again, third time already) so the moment passed.

I’m now tasked with the last train from London to Birmingham.  It’s full and standing already and we aren’t due out for another twenty minutes.

edit:

I did get a cheap joke in that Steven Gerrard must have decided how many carriages to use on the last train.  Small mercies.

I forgot to say how good Kaoru Mitoma looked for us in the 15 minutes he was playing on Saturday. I was going to ask that bloke on here who supports individual Japanese players rather than teams what he thought of him when he played for Kawasaki Frontale but I can’t remember who it is.

That's probably me?

Mitoma is very good as you've probably seen. Changes games when he comes on. Able to beat a man with end product. Hard to tackle too. Saved Japan a few times and been impactful in Belgium. It's just his position that concerns me, not a wide back. He's a full on LM or winger.

Any more good Japanese players Ange should go back for? Kyogo and Hatate are wonderful players and Maeda's never ending engine is made for how Celtic play.

More than ever nowadays.

Yasuto Wakizaka is an absolute baller at CM and is improving all the time, alongside Kento Tachibamada. Miki Yamane is a great full back too.

Gakuto Notsuda at Hiroshima is another exciting midfielder in fantastic form this past year.

Akito Fukumori is my pick though. A ball playing CB who takes fantastic set pieces and notches up a ton of assists and key passes each season, along with good defending.

Not all young players mind, but all talented.

True. But working on the basis that Gerrard is basically a dead man walking it would be nice to have the squad in a more cohesive position. We need another CB, we need another CM and really we could do with something different up front.

And most importantly, yes, we need a manager.

Maybe make that two?

We've said we're not selling him this morning so hopefully just the 1.

If we do sell him, we've lost the plot. We're short already, and he's one of our better players (though Gerrard is too stupid to utilise him). If he goes there should be a mob descending on Villa Park.

I'm one of the few Wolves fans who would be sad to see Dendoncker go - I actually think he's a useful player who could do a job for a Premier League side.  He needs a move - he's not getting into our midfield now we've got Nunes, and I think we'll be in for another midfielder today.  Donk won't be content to sit on the bench.

I only hope for his sake that Gerrard doesn't see him as an option at centre back because he's an absolute car crash there.

You may hear most Wolves fans saying that Donk is shit but that's harsh - he's been a good player for us, particularly under Nuno.
