Gerrardball is absolutely woeful.   We've got some great players at the club, but having them all stand as far from each other as possible and hoping that eye of the needle passes come off didn't work six months ago and it's still not working now.   We've lost to Bournemouth who have been awful this season, we've lost to West Ham who hadn't even scored until they play us and now we play Arsenal (away) and Manchester City (home) within the next week.

What I don't get is when he first joined Villa, he tightened them up at the back. Rangers were pretty handy too. What's gone wrong?

He's not a very good manager.

He has a single tactic, which doesn't work and is spectacularly easy to exploit

It worked for Rangers because he could realistically expect to have the best team, by a distance, in 99% of matches, and the season he won the league Celtic went off the boil.

In England, he's basically never got the best team. He had a new manager bounce and a few times we've played decent football but too often it completely fails.

I also suspect his man management is diabolical. Certainly he has favourites - he drops Buendia all the time when he's the only player that reliably creates anything, he made McGinn captain for some reason who has been dire but will not be dropped... And so on.

He's shit.

Forest playing really well. As long as they don't go two down they can get something from this

Ssssshhhhh 😂

Johnson has been excellent this first half, as has Williams

Feels like Forest may have missed their chance to equalise, lots of excellent opportunities just not got that extra level to make them count. I know there's another half to go but I think Spurs will be better in the second half

Ah well, I expected a bigger scoreline in Spurs' favour. Forest just haven't made the most of all those touches in Spurs' box, they need to work on being more clinical but if they continue to play like they have done today they'll be alright.

Forest look a tidy side and I’m sure they will win plenty of games - bit of clinical finishing and they could have got something but Spurs didn’t really get going as has been the story of the season so far!

Still, I’d rather be picking up points while we get going and looking decent at the back than the usual poor starts we have.
