Silent Runner
Lewandowski pretty anonymous for the whole match then played a big part in setting up the winner. That's the league for Barcalona probably.

He looks a really good player. I certainly hope he develops well, Ireland are so impotent up front these days. Don't have the creativity either, though, so it could well be moot.

I think the FA is, unsurprisingly, probably going to botch this after letting Fernandes off for pushing the assistant ref a couple of weeks ago (and seeing a lot of negative press for the failure to act) - so I expect an overreaction against Mitrovic to compensate for it. spork
Let's be honest though, the Bruno "push" is barely anything, especially compared to Mitrovic yesterday.

Oh, I agree that the circumstances and actual contact are different, but at the same time it did generate a fair bit of criticism, so the FA are most likely going to be mindful of that and (probably) over compensate. It generated criticism and lots of articles because it’s Bruno Fernandes and he plays for Manchester United If there is a rule saying you’re not allowed to touch the referee then fair enough, he should have got a red or a ban or whatever. But it’s miles apart from the shove on the referee yesterday that saw red and potentially a further ban.
neoELITE
Mitrovic is basically squaring up to the referee. It's a disgrace. I actually like him as a player but it's indefensible.

Well it's good to see where the line is for you when it comes to the behaviour of footballers, killing two children in a car crash while pished and speeding = can let that slide, pushing the ref = indefensible! He did say he actually liked him as a player though. So that’s a mitigating element. I think Greenwood is an amazing young talent so although he raped his girlfriend you’ve got to take into consideration his fantastic right foot.

skadupuk
In my heart of hearts I knew it was inevitable, but for the love of god there must have been a less depressing option. To quote another Palace fan "Leaving the comments on for that tweet is the ballsiest thing the club has ever done" It has at least unified the support, in agreeing its a terrible decision. Hamus
If Palace go down now under Roy's watch? (And to be honest it feels like he is using Bernards watch to keep going) It feels pretty bad for everyone. His final fling would not be a fitting end. Best of luck to both, I hope it ends well!

Naysonymous
The Messi video reminded me of that time David Bowie and Peter Frampton tried to find a beer in Madrid. It’s got nothing to do with football really, I guess Madrid is a football town but it’s just seeing someone that famous trying to navigate a public space. This was in the 80s so no social media spreading the word of where Bowie was but when people notice him it’s crazy. Even Peter Frampton who’d sold ten million albums just had to stand back and watch.
