Everton board told to stay away from today’s game.

That's disgusting. I could understand if perhaps they were ripping the club off or mismanaged Everton into administration but being 18th is no justification for threatening violence.

Lampard is a terrible manager but it's no excuse at all.

If your team is struggling, real supporters rally behind the team and the club.

The top brass just don’t fancy sitting through another 90-odd minutes of Lampard’s shite.

Massive overreaction, no love for the Bitters but the protest is a sit in not some weaponised siege. And think they’re doing the flares and pre-match show of support, so the ‘real fans’ are turning up.

Shocking VAR on the equaliser, unless they’ve ripped up the offside / interfering with play rules?

Now now, shielding the ball clearly isn’t “interfering with play” anymore, so the goal stands.

According to the commentary, interferring with play is now limited to either touching the ball, or getting in an opponent's way. You can do whatever you like if you don't do either of those, up to and including chasing the ball down and getting ready to shoot, which undoubtedly is going to have an impact on the defence.

Not a fan myself.

When did the offside law change from going towards the ball to needing to touch it? That was a scandalous decision, I know Salah’s against Wolves was due to the way the rules are written but don’t think any interpretation has Rashford not interfering with play, he’s stood over the ball blocking the defenders path to it ffs.

notwithstanding that they took a different tack because, well, he was there.

The old let him run through the middle and not do anything tack!

Moving on from United fans returning to how they were in the 90s, Haaland has robbed City of the element of surprise hasn't he. He doesn't offer anything in the build up and without Stirling and Jesus getting to the touchline and pulling the ball back like they scored most of their goals in the last few years all then can do is cross it in to one target man.

Said this at the beginning of the season. Haaland is insane but Pep’s best City teams played without a team without a recognised  focal point, losing that was always going to make them more predictable. Will mean that City will have games where Haaland tears up the record books and others where City are blunted.

If Southampton see this out, kudos to Jones. His substitutions and tactical changes in the 2nd half have shown Lampard up.

I’m not sure kudos is deserved for showing Lampard up.
