Loik V credern
Darwin is being compared with Werner in having the knack of getting so close to scoring game after game but just missing somehow in lots of inventive ways. The difference between Darwin and Werner and many other failed Chelsea strikers is the misses don't seem like they affect his confidence at all, his personality is completely different. He'll come good. Also Suarez missed a lot in his first Liverpool season didn't he?
SMD
Suarez was playing as a second striker to Carroll and taking far more touches before shooting. Eventually they switched/Carroll got bombed out and Suarez took fewer touches before shooting. Nunez's problem seems to be that he doesn't know what he wants to do when he's on the ball then makes the wrong decision or snatches at the shot. At Benfica he was calmer and more clinical so we'll see if it's him just needing to settle down or what. Isnt really the main problem this season, our defence is shite and our midfield invisible. Clinical strikers would just be papering over the cracks.
feltmonkey
I think Nunez is a very good player. He's a chaotic force on the pitch, and effects games even when he's not scoring. He's quick, strong, passionate, inventive, and hard-working. I'm not all that surprised that he's missing chances though. I was dubious about him when Man Utd were reportedly chasing him, as I don't think his first touch is quite good enough. I think he's a better finisher than he looks at the moment, but he's not a great finisher. Even when he was scoring a lot of goals for Benfica, he looked like a guy who always went for the difficult finish rather than playing the percentages. He's not efficient of accurate in front of goal, he hits everything as hard as he can rather than picking his spot.
Stopharage
Dear oh dear. Dewsbury-Hall injured in the warm-up and then Soumare substituted after 8 minutes, so two of our three starting midfielders are off. Fulham all over us and Mitrovic has inevitably scored.

Hamus
At last Everton have a nice cup game on Friday, those 3rd round ties against lower league opposition is just what you need to kick start the rest of the season.
neoELITE
If Everton sack Lampard, I'll start worrying about losing our manager Stephen Schumacher. They will sack him. They have to. He's diabolical. I don't really know how he was appointed anywhere, let alone a perennial Premier League club. His stats are atrocious.
BitterToad
Fulham are currently seventh in the Premier League with twenty eight points. It is January and there was a World Cup in the winter that’s delayed things a bit. Absolutely impossible to know how to feel after the last five years.
