Okay, I'm half way through cleaning a house and I get it.

 

I get it.

 

It's too early for me to articulate my thoughts yet, but I'm getting the feeling this is innocently tugging on some real basic human instincts in a way that most dodgy game companies weaponise for evil. But without the evil.

 

Ironically this was have been perfect for my covid brain fog I'm just waking up from.

My other half thinks I have lost the plot. 

 

I'm playing Lawn Mowing Simulator, House Flipper and now this. 

 

I try playing my umpteen big normal games like Cyberpunk and get bored after 10 mins and it's back to cutting grass and washing garage doors.

There’s just something innately calming about methodically going about such busywork. And there’s no stress of having to arrange a time or tidy away equipment some such. Just switch off (and switch on) before making something nicer for the simple pleasure that you can without any interference or real jeopardy.

BANG!!! And the dirt is gone!!!

 

Thought I’d lost the plot when I found myself painting and decorating and deciding which wall of the living room I should put the sofa on in House Flipper but, this is some real next level shit.
 

I’ve just spent 10mins rinsing off a Barbecue and then another 10mins washing down a fence.......and it was magnificent! How good does it feel to do the curved stone kerbing in the garden in one long perfect continuous blast as you walk along? Amazing! After I cleaned the path and patio it felt all of the wrong to stand on it and so I started spraying stuff from a distance. 🤣

 

It’s only the game Mario Sunshine could have been! 😁

Ooh hit that download button.

 

I love using a power washer but get quite bad tennis elbow when I use tools which needs a strong grip for too long, so instead of inducing the pain doing something useful I can now do it on my sofa cleaning virtual patios.

Wait until you get the big boy lance with the e x t r a l o n g e x t e n s i o n.

Entire fascias cleared of crap in seconds. Of course, that's when the game throws in extra detailing tasks like the lip of borders and such -_-

That playground was a bit of a cunt. 

 

Also theres an achievement for getting the football up the slide and I tried for ages but it just kept bouncing off the front.

Top tip: LOOK AT THE CONTROLS IN THE OPTIONS. Seriously. There's also an aim mode for people who get motion sick with too much camera swinging (up on d-pad on controller). Oh and you can alter the level of the water jet noise if the constant PSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHH is giving your hearing grief.

Really enjoying this but GAH have got 1 little bit left on one of the jobs but the missing bit is on a 1 of 19 panel and the 'show dirt' is really not helping locate the tiny spot I am missing. 😭

 

Had to move onto a different job so that I could have some relaxing power washing over lunch! 🤣
