This is an incredibly daft series. I presume angry men on the internet have passed beyond livid and are staring in utter disbelief at it?

You just have to look at the RT and IMDB scored to see how the angry Internet manbabies have reacted.

This made me realize that it says a lot about the attitude of Americans towards sex that they even have "walk of shame" as a term. We don't have an equivalent in Dutch afaik and if anything I'd call it the 'happy walk' or something. What's shameful about it really. :)

Anyway, really enjoyed this episode. Really feels like the comic books come to life.

AKA the stride of pride.

(I had no idea walk of shame was a pejorative aimed at women, it’s lingua franca between me and my gay friends)

Anyway, episode was clearly all kinds of great. Think MCU, think “fun” - and that’s why this ranks alongside Hawkeye for me as the best TV show they’ve yet done.

Well the walk of shame term tends to be almost exclusively aimed at women, so on that basis you'll probably understand why it's an a good old god-fearing, puritan values Americanism.

The saying has always applied to both sexes in the UK.

It's been a UK saying for at least my lifetime. Though it is inherently more misgynistic as our culture has only focused its shaming on women who have casual sex, and never at men.

It's used for both genders, but the shame element has never been a significant reality for men compared to the shit women got —and often still get.

Yeah, the term itself originated in American colleges I believe and has always been a non-gendered term - except as is the case in many of these phrases, whilst it may be applied to men, it would usually be done with a wink and a laugh, whereas when aimed at women it is more an attack on their character (in the same way men sleeping around vs women doing so is treated very differently.)

Wait till you see the rest. I wonder if this will split opinions.

Loved it. The pay off was so well done.

Spoiler

The ultimate 4th wall break

K.E.V.I.N

The Xmen line

Smash Matt Murdoch 😆

Just pitch perfect.

Also....naughty Wong. I feel at some point he will get held accountable for his actions.

The MCU TV-verse continues to knock out banger after banger. Another show with its own spin and concept that I enjoyed immensely. Everything about it worked so well and was pitch perfect. The 4th wall breaks were well done and the one in the finale was amazing. From the comedy, fun week to week B stories, fantastic supporting cast members and Daredevil, this show has been great.

I'd honestly be happy if She-Hulk was its own thing and stayed out of the movies too. I know that's not going to happen, but I think a TV show that's self-aware thats it's in the MCU and having fun with the universe, cameos and D-list villains/heroes sounds much better that just throwing he into a huge Avengers team up film. Plus, after that finale, how would bringing her into serious situations actually work anyway? Just silly fun Jen/She-Hulk adventures please, that’s all I want.

While I agree with much of that, the fact that Jenn can provide a link between The Avengers and the Fantastic Four would be an acceptable way for her to feature in the movies.

That did not land for me. Way too fucking silly. Love the character of Jennifer Walters, but this show, and its finale, does her a disservice. Also, it ultimately glossed over...

Spoiler

... how bad the shit like Intelligencia is in real life. I was expecting the show to deal with that head on, and instead we got fourth wall smashing and literal Deus Ex Machina to tie it all up. It was fun, and yes it did poke fun at itself and indeed Kevin Feige, but it felt hollow.

Yup, two of the three best gags in the entire season in rapid fire succession.

Spoiler

The third obviously being Captain America fucks, they really set the bar high early on. The look to camera when she asked about X-men for us was chef’s kiss. Perfect.

My main complaint until now has always been the lack of focus on Jen and this did everything it needed to address that.

Only one issue

Spoiler

Missed opportunity for Madisynn to be in the stinger, but I suppose the love for that character caught them a bit off guard.

Yes I suspect we see that charcter in Season 2 if we get one, which I hope we do.

My head is spinning. What a great ending!

Spoiler

The way Jen gave the thumbs-up and poked her tongue out when she asked about the X-Men and the line about smashing Matt Murdock had me roaring.

Felt like a nice nod to Cosima from Orphan Black in that phone video too!
