Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt is a battle royale game set in the streets and on the rooftops in Prague, in the World of Darkness.[3] It takes place following a vampire gathering in the city, after which war between the vampire sects broke out and the Second Inquisition became involved.[4] Players take the roles of vampires who try to survive the sect war,[4] battling both each other and an entity who tries to exterminate vampires. Probably not a good sign there's no thread

 

Tried this at lunch time - atmospheric and pretty. The city is fun-ish to run around eating humans without being seen, but in the end seemed to end up with in 1v1 shoot outs where you jumped about wildly spraying bullets like another well known Battle Royale. The powers didn't seem to come into it. Early days but not sure it'll breakout.

Oh. So instead of the highly anticipated sequel to the highly acclaimed and fan favourite immersive sim-like RPG, they use the ip to make a battle royale game. It sounds like a terribly unimaginative punchline to a tired joke about "the darkest timeline" but here we are. It's real and fuck all of us, right?

 

I've done all the old man grumbling I needed to. I'll leave the thread alone and hopefully it's at least an enjoyable one of those battle royale games

Downloaded it, booted it up, got to a mandatory sign up screen for the Devs, quit the game.

+1 from this old man too, what a waste of the IP. Especially as Bloodlines 2 seems to be stuck in development hell as far as I can make out.

As far as I understand it, we’re getting both. Think the other is due for release next month.

No it was indefinitely delayed a while back after the original dev team of Bloodlines 1 that had pitched the idea in the first place, was fired by the publisher.

Ah yes, you’re right. Tbh, it’s getting impossible to keep track of the thing after such a tortuous development history. 
 

[EDIT]Seems the one I was thinking of was Vampire The Masquerade: Swansong. Yet another new entry due out in May.
