Penultimate entry in the main line of the franchise has just gone into production, and the Fast X title revealed.

No word on story. I'm sure a FAMILY element is a good bet. In addition to past stars, Jason Momoa, Daniela Melchior and Brie Larson are joining. Due for release on 19 May 2023.

They've nearly done the full row of function keys.

They've only just passed half way!

I'm hoping it's like Jason X and they're all in space and there's an unstoppable robot Dom. The hook is that it's the future and he has to find a way to travel back to the present day because FAMLY.

Plot: someone from one of the regular character's pasts does something awful and the crew have to come out of hiding to stop them. Family family family, no I won't do it okay I will, fast cars, family, slo-mo car showroom-style montage with rubbish modern hip-hop over the top of it, family, setpiece stunt, family.

It's what you want from a blockbuster.

That won't work because Vin Diesel specifically has it written into his contract that he can never look weak and can only receive a set amount of blows that much be much less than whoever he's fighting so how would they even fight at the end.

They are going back to basics with the next one.

Dom loses his licence for breaking every traffic law in the Highway Code & has to resort to using public transport in order to attend a speed awareness course.

Meanwhile a long estranged family member who is just a regular guy (Definitely not a WWE wrestler or rapper or something) shows up out of the blue, and he is mighty pissed that nobody has ever mentioned him once in the entire franchise previously & also that he has missed out on 20 years of family BBQ's.

Dom can't handle the stress of a family domestic at the same time as losing his licence and so makes a phone call.

Jordana Brewster turns up out of nowhere and calms everyone down.

Dom now free to concentrate is able to earn back his licence & celebrates with a family BBQ where his long lost sibling brings the beers.

What's the plot this time? Do they travel through time? Into an alternate dimension? Does Dom rig his car with an FTL drive powered only by the normal battery?

Jason Momoa is playing Aquaman and Kal Drago.  Vin Diesel is playing Dom and Riddick. Brie Larson will be Captain Marvel and Envy Admas. Dwayne Johnson will be Black Adam, Agent Hobbs and Maui (animated). Kurt Russel' will be Snake Pilskin, Mr Nobody and Eon (as the full size planet).

Guest cars will include Herbie, KITT, Bumblebee and Benny the Cab.

6/5

They're going to steal gas from Russia. The back to basics bit will be doing it in Eastern bloc bangers, which they won't know how to drive. Someone will yell "Don, put it into H".
