🕹 High Score Day #89 - ❤️❤️💀💀💀 


The last one is super obscure and strangely I did attempt to put in the first game from the same series but nothing came through as I thought of it straight away. I knew it wasn’t though because it’s set in a castle and not the snow. The woman seemed familiar though. Can’t believe it was part of that series in the end.

Huh, never heard of 4! Might need to look into it, as this genre is very much My Jam — though I must admit the screenshot doesn't exactly sell it.

 

Edit: ah, no, I do actually know the game — just forgot the name, and got thrown by my own preconceptions about what these sorts of games would all be.

Seriously, anyone who does not get the first game right just go and buy it and play it because it's ****ing excellent, totally unique, and deserves to be played by everyone.

 

At least to the point of recognising it in a quiz. @SeanR, I'm looking at you. I’m disappointed, man.

Honestly, the first three are all brilliant, best in class examples of their respective genres and well worth playing if you haven't already. As is four, actually, but it's somewhat less accessible. And five... is a classic, but would be hard to go back to if you never played it 'back in the day'.
