Remember most UK outlets (including ours) aren't scheduling posts for today in 'respect' (read also out of fear of dogpiling for doing so).

But the rest of the world (rightly) won't give a fuck luckily*.

I'd heard the embargo may be the release time (i.e. no reviews allowed before release). I guess you'd know but maybe not allowed to post that out of respect.

* I'm not really interested in the reviews myself I don't think. Maybe the average score is of interest and I'll check that tomorrow when the British press pulls thier head out of the sand so it's a better reflection.

Actually, I stand corrected (and happily so) as our editors have taken the decision to post (probably partly due to one being of Indian descent so having a different perspective). Not sure who's got the review though but have already bought the game on Steam anyway :)

Can anyone buy/pre-order the switch (UK) version right now? Went to pre-order so I can preload before launch but it's stuck. Says I have preordered (I'm sure I didn't) and no preorderd appear on my pre-order list/game not on my system in any way...

I'll guess I'll wait till 5pm and purchase and download then.

Return to Monkey Island expectedly comes packed full of smartly crafted puzzles, funny dialogue, and memorable characters. But as series creator Ron Gilbert returns to the series’ director’s chair for the first time since 1991, it unexpectedly offers a lot of heart, too. It is an adventure gamer’s delight.

Okay fixed, as my brother purchased it on his switch, he has a old profile on my switch which prevented me from buying it - I had to delete his profile to allow me to grabbit.

The art style is a lot more cohesive in regards to scrolling around locations and things fitting in with the rest of the world.

As much as I do love a nicely drawn backdrop, in a lot of point n clicks the animated parts could really stick out. Everything goes together in this in a pleasing way.

Loving it so far (and the theme is still amazing, it's really up there with some film scores for me in regards to setting the tone, or associations with it's subject matter. I 'missed it' in the PotC movies :D )

I've put about an hr in so far and I love it so many callback's to the old games, wish I had played them again like others have done recently as my memory is a little fuzzy on some of the callbacks.

Spoiler

Talking to Cobb about Loom had me smiling, thinking back the first time I spoke to him I was 8 and I am 36 now...
