My Slowbro build can one hit KO a Cinderace after 6 turns providing the other players ain't shortening the timer by getting themselves knocked out.

 

Was a lot harder than the Charizard raid imo, but as always prep is key.

I’m guessing 3x Iron Defence, 3x Nasty Plot then hit it with Stored Power? I was going to go the Slowbro route but already had a 5IV Ceruledge at Level 100 Hyper Trained so was just a matter of maxing EVs

Nearly.

 

Don't need nearly that many Iron Defense, and the key is boosting the terrain (as well as held item).

 

They really skimp on the rewards on the subsequent raids, but I don't mind helping people out. 

 

Seen some nice shinys during these raids. I do like the Pink fire starter shiny.

Someone did the Slowbro trick which allowed me to catch Cinderace. I was going in with a Dachsbun, to nullify the Pyro Ball, spamming Mud Slap at the start to help us all survive before Helping Hand-ing whoever looked to be doing the most damage. Damn thing was a nightmare, almost every Acrobatics took me out due to Critical. It even took me down with Pyro Ball a couple of times, due to negating my ability!

 

Now I'm slowly driving myself insane using the "trade codes" to get a Quaxly. Everyone else is offering their own Lizards and Cats, NOBODY HAS THE DAMN DUCK

Does no one like Quaxly then? I chose that as my starter, partially because my eldest and youngest kids chose the other two and partially because I have a soft spot for water type because of Blastoise

It looked that way, but my public moaning did the trick. First shot after posting got me the duck!

 

I wish I had started with it, to be honest. There aren't that many great new Water types, whereas there are seemingly a billion different new Fire types.  Wanting to limit myself to only Paldean Pokémon meant that there were times I was crying out for some decent Water.

I'm happy to just trade and trade straight back for the entries, but would be really grateful if anyone wants to help with a Scream Tail & and a Armarouge.

 

I have Anhilape etc I can trade back :)

What are everyone's thoughts on the ancient vs future Pokemon? I want to give a quick shout out to my guy Slither Wing. I really love this design and I think is a good example of how the ancient paradox Pokemon are much more interesting overall if you compare it against Iron Moth as two different takes on Volcarona (also my guy).

Saw the credits roll and I really warmed to the game by the end. The ending was pretty cool for a game written for kids and almost made me wish I hadn't skipped 90% of the dialogue :).

 

I got really into the post-game in SwSh and did loads of breeding and team building but I'm struggling to find the motivation in this one. The lack of any passive EV training (loved the PokeJobs feature in SwSh) and my general ennui towards raiding after doing it in various games for years now are the main reasons. I haven't done a single raid this time around and just can't bring myself to sit there failing to get into lobbies, failing because of team composition, failing to even catch the thing at the end.. etc.

 

Yes I know I know that grinding for competitive teams used to be wayyyy worse than it is now but SwSh was the first time I ever did it so I guess I was massively spoiled. Could just be that I'm in a bit of a different place now and just don't feel much like grinding at all at the moment.

Thanks as always for the codes, much appreciated.

 

I'm slowly building up my Pokédex (Don't have access to Scarlet atm) and one of the most frustrating things in the world for me is the fact that Tera Raids always seem to fail to connect online for me. 

 

I will spend as much time trying to get into one of the Raids or refreshing the list as I will actually be fighting these days. 

 

The game as much as I love it pisses me off no end, and in an ironic way it's not the bugs like it is for some it's the game design and my lack of talent.

 

I'm currently sitting at 385 on my Dex and while it's obvious I won't be able to finish it with help from Scarlet, on occasion some of the version specific mons appear in the Tera Raids but as above this is problematic as they just don't work. 

 

Another thing is I like battling my mons, it's to me such a core part of the game, like breeding and raising them. But I can't win a game. No, I can't even win a fight online because the opposing mons have such a high speed stat and can spam "Charm" over and over again, making all my mons pointless.

 

So I've begun breeding, levelling & training stats, especially speed. 

 

There's a lot going on which I don't mind it's the nature of the game and honestly as obsessed as I am with it currently (Not good I know) I just want to get things done. 

 

Sorry for the rambling post, got no-one to ramble too.
