Lilly looks more El Fuerte and Vega than T. Hawk which will be wonderfully annoying.

No green hand for Gief but does have that weird reversal leg twist thing that is impossible to land. 

 

Seems to lose his mask which is bad for a wrestler so will be pissed off. Has real world (fake) wrestling moves The Jackhammer (Goldberg) and calls his ultra The Last Ride (The Undertaker)

Gief and cammy both looking great. Although I wish one of the new characters interested me more.

I started 4 and 5 with cammy and probably should have just stuck with her the whole way.

Maybe this is the game where I'll get used to doing spinning pile drivers. Fingers crossed the super isn't 720 though!

I was actually wondering whether 720’s or even 360’s are going to make it into 6. Modern controls will make the input gulf just too enormous, if you can actually just access those things at the touch of a button.

SFxT had grapplers and the Easy Input and Super Easy Input gems...  I think something like an SPD command could be converted to "up and punch" with the Super Easy one equipped.

 

Also, modern "360s" have always been more of a 225 lately, so I'm not sure if they'll pare it down more...

Hmmm. Okay. I can handle 360’s relatively consistently in SF5 (lol, leverless) but the 720’s have always eluded me completely.

 

And obviously I don’t want the game’s skill ceiling anywhere north of my skill ceiling because if that happens I’m not going to win at Evo.

Other than the big flag on her back I think the redesign is excellent. More modern, clearly different but still recognisably Cammy. She looks as infuriating as ever from the air as well.

She has some CRAZY range with those weapons and I do love a pokey character. 

 

This game really can't come soon enough.

Big fan of the Cammy re-design. Has a bit of a gritty Tekken 7 look about her. There will be plenty of thoroughly embarrassing mods and DLC outfits for her for those upset that she's dressed. 

Gief also looks tremendous. Prime beef on display. Everything looks pleasingly weighty. Love that he has the Jackhammer. 

 

As a T. Hawk fan I will be playing Lil' Tomas as a secondary. She is a bit of a dweeb but she has some of Tomas' buttons in stick form and she has all the Condor specials, so that's good. 

 

All of the new stages are lovely.

She’s trying to do T. Hawk ultra 1 where he sits on them at the end but she over rotates and  botches the ending. Maybe in the CA/Low health version she gets it right and does the sit and pose? That’d be cool.

I loved the reveal and I think Capcom clearly knows their audience... especially FGC fanboys. 🤣

 

Now that the initial roster has been revealed, I must say that the design of the cast seems so much stronger and prominent than in previous iterations, almost like they're individuals now with actual personalities, as apposed to the blank-slate CPU we've dealt with for the past 30 years.

The question is how many of them will be swimware though.

Oh yeah, I just don't think Capcom will want to remember or reference Final Fight Streetwise lol.

 

There was only one swimsuit for her in V iirc. I did buy the SF Alpha costume, Fiona from Haunting Ground, and the Cannon Spike costume from memory.
