I downloaded this for my iPad but despite it saying on the Appstore that it's compatible with my device - it doesn't boot. I'm on an original iPad Air, which is stuck at ios 12.5.6. Any suggestions?

Send them an email. They have mentioned that as it's a small outfit, they don't have access to every device to test. It may be that their dev kit is saying it should run on iOS 12, but in the wild it actually doesn't.

I should do the same. I've installed it on an iPod Touch 6 (which I think is half a generation newer than the first iPad Air - IIRC the iPad Air is equivalent to an iPhone 5S and the iPod Touch 6 has the guts of an iPhone 6) running iOS 12.5.6 and likewise, it fails to launch.

I don’t even have the guns yet, how do you unlock them?

The best way to get shit is to try and fulfill the conditions on the Unlock screen. The guns unlock once you get the relevant character.

Okay, now, you know I love me some Vampire Survivors, like everyone. but I was just checking out Easy Allies Game of the Year Awards nominees for the best weapon in a game this year:

Spoiler

And the winner was

Spoiler

The garlic in Vampire Survivors. The fucking garlic.

All the incredible weapons they could have picked from the game and they pick the garlic. What the fuck is wrong with them.

It's obviously the Bible. Jesus.

I’ve moved away from walk into everything type weapons now like garlic and the bible towards the projectiles. I particularly like the fireball and magic wand, the cherry bomb is a lot of fun too. Does that evolve with the luck skill?

Not really into Clock Lancet, does anyone use that much and if so what else do you use with it?

Weapon potential spoliers

Spoiler

When evolved it is a key part of the build that you use to kill the 30 minute Reaper.

Other than that I never used it.

I finally caved at midnight last night. I am now one of you. The victims of this cult.

Managed to stop after a short hour of seeing what it's about.

Garlic is a game changer. You already know that.

I know what I'll be doing between Hitman levels now.

Fuck.

And now I've played nearly 7 hours of this and just got my first clear (first level and the original character).

The feeling of becoming that whirling ball of death is immense. On this run I got my first upgrades too. Three of them in fact: Lightening, Axes and Wand. Was also running Garlic and Bible. By about 20 minutes Garlic was pretty much useless because nothing got that close but it is so good early game.

I might actually try a different level and character now 🤣

As you go into tougher levels and unlock more stuff Garlic becomes one to skip tbh. Replaying this on my phone recently reminded me how good it is early but you get to a point where you should sack it off for evolved Santa Water and Bibles as your defence.

Funny how things go. I guess I just crossed a boundary of "enough" permanent upgrades but I did 3 further completions of the first level last night. My god the Gorgeous Moon (Pentagram evolution) can be crazy. Level 136 at the end of that run.

There's also a clear time dilation problem when playing as everyone who has done already knows. I accidentally went to bed at 1am 😅

Evolved most of the early weapons now and will start going into new levels. Going to focus on the unlocks list a bit more now I think.

I got to 30 mins the other day for the first time. It's insane.

Just wait for the more exciting characters and weapons to unlock about 10 hours in!

When i realised I can do a run that lasts forever that's when I knew to give up.

Had it running and kept going back via quick resume and before I quit I was at 10 hours with about 100 reapers unable to kill me.

I eagerly await the sequel.

Needed to spend a bit of Xbox credit before it expired. What's that? The Vampire Survivors DLC is only £1.43? Don't mind if I do!

There's just something really zen and relaxing about going "right, I'm going to spend the next 30 minutes unlocking..." and blasting the fuck out of thousands of enemies in the library stage.
