I've got one achievement left on the Xbox version and it does my head in. It's the one attached to the Unlock called

Spoiler

Complete the collection

and I can't figure out what I'm missing. Is there any easy way to find out?

Click on Collection. Look for any question marks left. Then look at a picture or ask here to work out what it is.

I need to check when I get home from work, but it doesn't ring a bell, tbh. Then again, there are so many weapons and items in this game I'd struggle to remember them all in the first place.

Once you obtain a certain item you'll have that information available on the pause screen.

The other night by pure accident, which indicates new specific items required to evolve two weapons in the game.

 

I need to do a run of the Library to get them though as its condensed corridor like nature makes this far easier to achieve.

The arcana card that pulls everything to you every 2 mins is a quick way of getting the far off items on all the stages

I got Queen Sigma when I got the basic Candy Box for the first time. I had one question mark left and that was it. Candy Box II Turbo is added to your collection after you get it the first time, like Sigmas weapons but doesn't count towards completing it.

I think this is the first game I've ever thouroughly completed and still craving more. I'm really looking forward to the expansion tomorrow. 

There are also some things to complete that are not included in the achievements so there is probably still some stuff that you can do while waiting for the expansion like:

  • Doing the 16 Secrets - this will include unlocking some additional playable characters
  • Getting all entries in the Bestiary (105 IIRC)

  • Clock Lancet and ideally its evolution Infinite Corridor so that you regularly freeze the Reaper
  • Crimson Shroud (evolved from Laurel) as it caps incoming damage at 10

With those 2 you can probably have whatever you like normally having in the rest of the build

If you don't want to run a lot to the far right and left then use the Mad Groove (VIII) Arcana to easily get the Accessories to do the above evolutions but don't pick the rings and left/ right arrows up until after you have filled your 6 regular accessory slots

 

Easier, slightly 'cheaty' way:

If you start a run in endless mode then the reaper does not appear so just get beyond 31 and then quit the run from the pause menu

Played about 8 hours of this on Xbox and couldn't get past the first level or find any extras like new characters. Just bought a Steamdeck and decided to buy it on that but I'm flying through it. 3 hours in and I've got the second stage, another character and a special book. Also feels a bit easier on the Deck but it could just be me 🤣

Already done the 16 Secrets one, but I'd actually missed one of the entries in the bestiary, Had to google it and the last one made no sense to me at all. How on earth people find this shit out is beyond me but I'm glad the game has some crazy shit.
