My worst yet, and my first 6. I was totally stuck and putting in guesses that were not even words (yet annoyingly the game accepted one of them and used up a chance). I also had to break from hard mode rules for the first time on my 5th guess. Nightmare.

The best thing about it is that there's only one per day, so you can't absolutely rinse it and get bored. There's also a clever share function that lets you show others how you did without ruining the puzzle. It's become part of my daily ritual with breakfast for the last two weeks.

After two guesses I know the second and forth letters, and have ruled out so many other key letters that I think the only possible guess I can make is the right word, but can’t think of anything which doesn’t include at least one letter which it doesn’t contain.

 

Edit: bloody iphone just switched from night to day mode and I can now see the second and forth letters are actually yellow, not green. Good old colourblindness 😂😠 this is the first time I’ve ever noticed it have a real life impact rather than just being something picked up on tests though!

 

Edit again: solved one the fourth guess after that debacle!
