sometimes it does feel as though you’re just iterating between potential words and it’s pure luck whether it’s 3, 4, 5 or out…

A bit worried after the first two guesses but they did eliminate a lot of the possible options so all good in the end.

Found that victory a bit hollow. No real skill or thought required. 

 

A sudden death mode would be a great version of this game. 5/6 guesses spent, putting you on the back foot when you start. (Akin to B mode starting heights on Tetris.)

 

You get one last try to work out the solution on hard mode with the remaining letters, before moving on to the next one. One run per day. Your streak resets at midnight- could record your daily streak results as trends, with a personal best to beat if you want to challenge yourself.

A bit miffed, I spent ages trying to come up with possible answers with what was left and thought there was only PERRY and PERVY, and I thought the latter wouldn't be used. Completely missed the actual answer - I was genuinely surprised when my 3rd guess wasn't it.
