Spoiler

Finally ground it out at 3am with the only word which would possibly fit. Took an ironically long time considering the baby getting fed is the reason I play this in the middle of the night, although I’ve never actually come across the word without a prefix before.

I gave up on todays. I never would have got it.

Spoiler

For me the main context I hear the answer is in 'pre' or 'post' care, so I guess I've never really heard it used by itself. So it didn't trigger anything in my brain when I was going through all the possible combos. I even had the NAT and couldn't get anywhere further. Also doesn't help that when you have NAT in front of you you naturally pronounce it Nat like Natwest.

Yeah. By line 6 I knew the last four letters were ATAL and it still took me going through the alphabet and then not being sure if that was a word in itself.

SYNTH

I was actually tempted to go for the answer on guess 3 because that's the kind of shit it pulls, but I played safe to get an extra vowel out.

I think the same way, but that just meant I was thinking of

the South African province, which is pronounced 'Natt-ahl'. Or at least, has been whenever I heard it mentioned.

Spoiler

SLIDE

LUNAR

(the word) - took a while to find up with a guess that fit!

To those who said they were unfamiliar with the word in that form: I'm surprised to hear that, because like "trope", it's one that was used on the forum quite often at one point...

Spoiler

"Project *****" was Microsoft's codename for Kinect!

Found out this week that two people I know are pregnant so maybe that’s got something to do with it?

Why the fuck didn’t it

Spoiler

give me both As??

It left me with this, and I could barely make a single word. Used my partner’s phone to eliminate I and then I was stumped.

Spoiler

Because you only ever put A in two places, only one of which was correct. For it to give you another A, even a yellow one, you need to have put a second A in another spot.

For example, if you'd have guessed KARMA, the first A would be green, and the second would be Yellow.

SPICE

CAGOT

WORDLE

and for those who wondered, a Cagot is a member of a class of French outcasts who lived in the West Pyrenees, Béarn, Brittany, and Gascony, considered to be lepers and heretics, a word deliberately chosen and definitely not just me randomly trying letters cos I was completely stuck.
