Heart in mouth stuff towards the end. My word choice has previously insulated me from this type of thing, by accident rather than design, but not so today.

 

The streak continues but not through any skill of my own.

Almost a 2! But I did that thing again: the less obvious word came to mind first, when the real answer was a more common word. (Like yesterday, when I entered "lymph" before "nymph".)

Wordles algorithm continues to disappoint in its choice of words.... consistency would be good instead of its habit of veering between choosing easy obvious words over more obscure ones and at other times choosing ones that only DIY hobbyists would be familiar with.

I don’t really get how you can ask for consistency of 5 letter words. I think it needs to mix it up between obscure and common words, otherwise it would lose its accessibility and charm.

Just happy to get out of that one again.

With hindisght, the sensible thing to do would have been to try a guess with an E at the end in spot 4, because there were still SHADE, SHAME and SHAVE as possibilities, but got lucky with the L instead.
