On my last guess I was convinced I'd finally got it and with a double C - but that was a rookie mistake as my first guess ruled that out! I think I had two options left so still might've missed out.

Noticing a bit of a pattern today:

If people didn’t go straight to the right option as soon as they guessed the last four letters they were probably not going to get it, presumably because the different sound to the second letter sent them down the wrong path and made the actual answer far less likely to come mind.

Second word was MODAL. Which I knew wasn’t the word (too obscure) but does kill some useful letters. Then it was “what is the most common word with ODA in it”.

 

feel it should have been a 2 though
